Team as follows




Biggest issue is that we have a top 16, not a top 17, being forced to play Koula/Kennedy/Palace

We have Papy to deal with, so ideally we somehow turn him into 2 final 17 players

Any suggestions

Papy and Koula to Doueihi and Fifita/Latrell/Curran

If Koula goes there’s no centre cover so would maybe have to use a third trade?

Papy to Doueihi leaves 157k ITB

Could get another sub-gun for Koula, but then no CTR cover. So the only way I can see to a full 17 this week is 2 trades - cow/cow to gun/cashout

Obvious one: Koula + Kennedy -> Mitchell + Gagai + 20k spare

Pushes Walsh to 17th, Gagai to a strong 18th (loop them both whenever there's a red dot), Palasia/Pole/Matamua the rest.

If we wanted to settle for CTR cover that isn't that good, could do something like:

Koula + Kennedy -> Up to 736k GUN + Pompey, where the GUN options are more than just Latrell:
- Garrick
- Grant
- Klem
- Carrigan
- Haas
- D Fifi etc

Papenhuyzen to Doueihi leaves us with $136k + $21k = $157k

That's Koula to anyone $671k and under but if they're not a centre, no centre cover

It's Kennedy to anyone $506k and under.
Ponga is the right price or take a punt on Leilua if he retains his starting edge spot.
Other than those two under $500k I think you're mostly hoping for a purple patch.

For 2 trades, I like keeping Koula as CTR cover and going Kennedy -> Ponga best I think

3 trades when you got 4 more from next week also a legit choice though

We definitely want to keep CTR cover for the run home.

Whether that is keeping Koula or trading to a cheaper CTR doesn't matter. Koula probably better to play in a pinch than anyone cheaper.


With Burton and Aitken we'll play both every week they are named, so happy to have any old playing CTR to put in 18-21.

With Walsh benched

Papy + Walsh gives us $1,225k which could be

Doueihi + Haas/Fifita
Latrell + $605k

Keeps Koula for WFB/CTR reserve

Anyone else in the discount gun shop that we are interested in?

Doueihi + Haas/Fifita for me. Haas safer, Fifita with more upside, tough call IMO

Is anyone still interested in a 3 player trade? Or has Walsh's benching changed things enough?

I think if we go Papy+Walsh to Latrell + ?, Hastings is the best partner, assuming we think he can get another 6-7 weeks at lock. Job security and Tigers changing things up obviously a concern

2 trades for me. Saved trades are going to become very, very important.

I like Papy and Walsh out for Doueihi and Haas. Ideally Koula plus Kennedy or Palasia or Pole can turn into a better 17th man plus CTR coverage in the next week or so.
