Sydney Morning Herald is reporting that Manly officials are locked in emergency talks with seven players who are threatening to boycott the game

If I own one of those Manly players will probably have to burn a trade on them simply through the no dickheads policy.

Depends what you want them for, if it’s just a cash out and to get some points in an emergency I’d go Mbye, if you can loop them then someone like Albert Hopoate if he’s named again or depending on what happens with this Manly news someone like Schuster might see some decent game time (if he’s not in the boycott group).
Anderson and Casey might also be worth a look

Now is the time for Des to be the bigger man, and allow a sub 300k Shuster to return to the edge on a permanent basis.

How easy and great would it be for any NRL player right now to tweet/insta "Can't wait for my club to have a pride jersey!"

Bye Koula, guess I'll be running without centre cover. No cheap Schuster for you degenerates either.

Fuck off Koula.  He was my only centre cover.  Might trade Manu back in haha.

To think people are like this is unreal.

Let's just say it: this is absolutely shameful, a complete disgrace. An embarrassing decision by every single player listed here, and one they should never live down. They've taken what could've been a huge, important step in our game making a stand for equality and tolerance and they've completely screwed it because of their bigotry. All of the headlines this week won't be about how good it is that Manly are wearing the jerseys, they'll be about how backwards our game is because 7 - fucking 7 - players decided they're too bigoted to put on a shirt that symbolises acceptance and equality. A stain on our game.

I find the overt displays of Christianity which have become de rigour after NRL games offensive (particularly given some of the participants seem to have no issue with behaving in a contradictory fashion in their regular lives) but I respect the fact they they should be allowed to take place. I wish a few more of these ‘look at me I’m a Christian’ players had as much respect for their fellow human beings as they are shown.

Koula to Talakai. The big man's banner still staring down at me. Soft Sharks draw. Unleash the power of the best centre the world has ever seen.

Long term. This could will really damage manly, half the team with personal views that in this day and age, aren’t widely held or supported. Putting aside the fact people feel entitled to have their bad opinions, I can’t help but think the sponsors won’t be impressed. Aren’t manly always battling for sponsors anyway?
