So, who can beat Penriff? Not Souths after that. Not the Raiders.

    Eels? Maybe.

    Cows? Don't really feel it.

    Sharks? Maybe. But probably not.

I really really really take really don't want to cheer for some random Sydney suburb with as much cultural identity as their politicians have integrity.

I mean, fuck. The most interesting thing to happen to Cronulla was a racist riot and having a shit PM as supporter. And Parramatta probably doesn't even exist - and if it does it's just as an anonymous bunch of mid rise shit buildings somewhere in an endless urban sprawl.

Go the Cowboys. Go for Queensland, go for League, go for colour in shitty Sydney-sepia world.

    Go the Cows.

I generally dislike Cronulla more than Souths - for the reasons you list - but might make an exception next week.

No problem with the Raiders or Eels, but they probably aren't good enough to make a dent (would be kind of fun if the Raiders won it from eighth though), and the Cowboys have been a breath of fresh air this season - kudos to Todd Payten. So I'll go for them. Their fans could do with some joy to compensate for living in the middle of the sun as well.

Hard to see far past Penrith though, and fair enough, they're outstanding.

Camping all weekend and just got back, also just finished the game.

Honestly, we didn't deserve to win. Too many errors, too many penalties, but most of all we didn't score when Souths had 11 men, twice.

Losing Teddy was absolutely massive, losing Angus shortly thereafter hurt a lot as well. Maybe some unlucky calls but felt like both teams copped them a bit, swings and roundabouts in that regard. Only thing I've got a complaint about was Burgess not being binned for his shot on Teddy.

Suaalii's inexperience showed in that game, poor kid went missing completely when he needed to step up. He's got lots to learn from Teddy and Manu over the next few years that's for sure. Didn't think any Roosters had good games tbh, maybe Nat Butcher.

Felt like Murray was immense in the middle (and a nice guy surrounded by fuckwits on both sides), Cody had a great defensive game, and Latrell played well. Barely noticed Tass the whole game so he probably did nothing wrong as well. It pains me to say it but Souths definitely deserved to win.

Bandwagoning Cowboys now for sure. A good mates team, lovable characters, The Chad, and Val Love

Absolute insanity this afternoon! I will say Sharks, Cowboys was the game of the weekend, but this one definitely had more feeling and passion. I don’t believe there will be another game with this much intensity in this years finals, unless the Raiders can somehow meet Penrith in the GF.

If I hadn't copped Cook's 0 when he was out I reckon I'd probably be top 25 or so.

Annoying that the mixer doesn't show live round rank so no idea where I'll finish for the round.

Not flying as high as you, but captaining Cook when I thought I captained Cleary… looking at it instead of 270ish I think I’d be ranked 69th Coffee

Neither of these teams are likely to beat the Sharks, I suppose, and they certainly won't beat the Panthers.

Roosters' hopes went off the field with Tedesco.

Looking like a Penrith vs Cowboys final.
Both teams grubbed it up today we had to get down a dirty to take it to you guys. Roosters won the infringements 12-8 I don’t think they can complain. JWH should’ve been penalised more he kept going for Murray head I was into JWH all game. I thought both Atkins and Klein gave Souths some rough calls. But yeah losing Teddy was a blog blow for you guys. That was close to the most brutal game I’ve ever seen tbh. Tom will get a few weeks but we will cop it on the chin.

The atmosphere was insane I was in the front row 20 metre line Bunnies Supoorters Bay apparently I was on Fox League several times. I was going absolutely bonkas voice is pretty much gone it was fucked by half time. Hands clapped red raw and too much jumping as well! That win has made my year I had tears in my eyes it was simply sensational!

I’m not worried on next week yet out season has been a success and the best part is knocking our bitter most hated arch rivals out! Best atmosphere since 2014 GF!

And yes we will be right in it with the Sharks and I am so proud win lose or draw!

Oh and not bad for a bottom 4 team! UP THE RABBITOHS! Eastern Suburbs Rooster crowed and then was conquered too!

Then on the way home with Dad we wee so happy we caught the wrong tram ended up in Royal Randwick but we didn’t care! Stayed 50mins after full time soaked it all in.

Rabbits that is about as fair and balanced as you've been in describing a Roosters game

Both games look to have been influenced by HIAs (Teddy/Angus this week Murray last week) but you take the luck you get.

    Enjoy the win.

In mixer I wish I boosted Kelly over Bremner but oh well I scored a bit over 400. Not C Hynes or Cleary and going Munster cost me a bit my ranked dropped from 23rd to 59 but I’m still happy. I sit 2nd in the fanatics league, DK is quietly coming though so I’ll enjoy being ahead whilst it lasts.

Getting a bit het up this morning over all the self righteous moral indignation from various self appointed guardians of the game about 'not respecting the Queen and stuff'.

Believe it or not the British Royal family as figureheads for a historically oppressive colonial power are not universally loved and respected. It's not personal and I can acknowledge that this Queen was generally a force for positivity but she still represents a monarchy I, and many other people, legitimately don't have any time for.

If people want to mourn and celebrate the Monarchy thats fine, it's their right to do that but if people don't want to do that it's also fine and they should be allowed to without being called 'the scum of the earth'.

I'm not personally going to celebrate anyone's death or be a contrarian if others want to mourn but I can completely understand those who might have stronger feelings on the matter than me.
