It is hilarious watching the ref sprint 50+ metres to have a look at something on a tiny screen tho. Would actually like to see the refs do a race, like a beach sprint, but instead of flags they have to get to the cameras first. Be more entertaining than a lot of the games.

After watching the World Cup will say NRL is now only the second worst competition for video assistance.

Looking like State of Origin could be opened up to anyone, whether they are eligible for Australia or not https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-premiership/nrl-2022-origin-eligibility-overhaul-arlc-peter-vlandys-jason-taumalolo-new-south-wales-queensland-world-cup-england-new-zealand-news/news-story/680705a5ef263b62dc201ae290baba92

State of Origin becomes State of Wherever.
I'll stop watching it if that happens.

What sad news for George Burgess retiring a big shame. He did himself and his family proud on the field. I will never forget what he bought to Souths and especially his performance in the 2014 GF brought tears of joy to my eyes, he will be a forever a Rabbitoh!

State eligibility rules are not the same as international eligibility rules. Don’t really see a problem with Radley playing for NSW and England, the same way Luai plays for NSW and Samoa.

I haven't looked into what the actual changes are, but I don't have a problem with it. Maybe 5+ years ago I'd be annoyed, but i think my views have changed. If someone has lived in QLD from the age of 13, repped QLD in junior footy, then fair go.. ~let the boys play~ (let the boys earn origin payments)

At the end of the day, nobody selected is going to have a more tenuous link to their state team than Greg Inglis haha

I think the changes are a good thing. Players won't need to make a choice between playing state of origin and playing for the national team that they want to represent.

Except for that time he eye-gouged Robbie Farah and got 9 weeks (which included a 50% loading from the previous charge for eye-gouging Dallin Watene-Zelezniak)
But yeah, he had a good year in 2014

Ryan Matterson now wants to pay the fine. Some of the comments on NRL FOX are gold.
Won the $4K club raffle, had the only ticket
Hit the feature on the weekend
Wait for the new season draw and be like 'yeah actually we do need you'
Didn't get picked up by a minnow in the WC to serve a fake ban

Chris Randall & Greg Marzhew player swap is ON. Two forum (ok, MattNZ) favourites there.

Yeah, but did either of them score a goal against Denmark to send their team to the last 16 of the World Cup?

I finally got around the reading the details and clearly fantasy sports have broken my brain. My actual thought process... "eligible for parole Oct 2026, he'll get a full off-season in and be a great cow sometime in 2027"
