that's how i see it the rules say you get the best 13 scorers in your 17 so say you have 17 rd. 13 players & your 3 wfb's & 1 2rf score less than your 4 benched players in 13-17 well then you get the higher scorers off your bench & not the players in your starting 13.

in vsdt it's your best scoring 13 players in your 17 regardless of position unlike nrl fantasy where the 13-17 don't count.
correct me if i'm wrong in this example...so in vsdt you may not have any wfb's but a full team in every other position & you have 3 rd. 13 players that are say 2fr on your bench 13-17....you will get their score.

I think i might grab cook aswell then as i already have robson. Robson has been underwhelming and ill punt him after 16 and keep cook if all works out?? Being all new rules i just wasnt sure and wanted some confirmation before blowing a trade on a position i already had filled. Id rather a second hooker, although it hasnt been a great position like previous years its better then grabbing a volatile wfb although i might have to jump on ponga aswell at the price as latrell has to go.

I'm assuming you can definitely do the Captains loop and is the perfect round to do it - as I'm guessing not many have more than 17 players.

Cracked the top 10 this week, thanks mainly to being snookered with Turbo and him finally repaying the faith (although I would have punted him previously if I could).


Made a stupid last minute call on game day to switch Uto and HEdwards based on expected mins that cost me about 30 but otherwise had a good round.

Probs flips of the coin and you can't go wrong with either and/or both have semi equal risks in my view.

Hopgood has less job security long terms (IMO) but the likes of Lane and Matto will be a while out still and I'm not sure if Ofa is still going there?

Tohu is more settled if fit but is always a risk of HIA or doing a knee

I think you are right, just read it again and i think i was thrown off where it says if your captain doesnt play you dont automatically get points from your vice but then it says your vice captain receives double points as per any other round. So as you were, nothing to see here. As it is the best time to loop cause no ae generally and short numbers i just thought id warn others after reading the rules, which i fucked up trying to do re looping. I think what they mean if your captain gets a hia and goes of with a score of 2 and that 2 is not in your best 13 then u dont get that and dont get a VC. My bad. Thats a real coin toss. Eels down troops but Hopgood could get origin call up for next game. Tohu no origin but usually has more bandages than a 300 start pacer at Menangle trots so your on edge hoping he makes it through the game. Both score quite similar if all goes right. Lean slightly towards the longevity of Hopgood and hope he doesnt make origin. Tohu is a weapon but injuries just worry me. In saying all this i will have both this week.

4 fanatics now in the top 10.  
I've used a lot of trades to get where my rank is. So I want to save a couple of trades and keep some SOO players for the run home. Lower score/rank payback time. Means that I won't be leading overall after this week I reckon.
Making 2 trades which means I'm only playing 9 this round.

Slight downer for me, scored 956 and dropped to 22nd

Have 10 this week (if Couchman plays) but they are mostly decent scorers. Just have to work out who gets traded and for who in order to get decent scorers

Scored 1156 this week and finally made the top 50 for the first time this year being ranked 40th. Probably won't have 13 this week so hoping to hold ground

Didn't realize it's your best 13 and not based on position so should have 13 this week and hopefully make a charge into the top 10 in the next few weeks

Shit that crept up on me this year.

First time I can remember having no rank change in a week. Got 10 for this round pre-trades. Having people like Friz and HTF selected in Origin kinda dented my numbers.

That's a bloody strong 13 mate.

I should get 13 with trades but it will be made up with some probable duds that have been downgrades along the way (VTW, Kris, Katoa, Schuster) - hopefully some of them fall over the line for me this week.

After making 1 trade, I have 12 available this week, but one of them is Couchman

Will probably ditch Latrell for someone over origin, not sure who yet though to give me 13

For people with Hynes + Cleary, are you keeping one or both of them, and who would you ditch if required?
Hynes only plays 2 of the next 5, so he really should go, shouldn't he
