Bateman is likely to displace him as soon as he's available, but that hasn't stopped people with Blore or Matamua (who are admittedly at least cheap to go with their poor job security) but he's about the same price as Seyfarth

Or Bateman pushes Kepoa back to CTR and Talau loses his spot...

Bateman's visa has been cleared, he is expected to arrive in the country this week. So Tigers have to decide if they rush him into team or not

Bench to ease into the starting edge role in the NRL. And also lower his fantasy price. What's best for fantasy coaches is best for the Tigers.

Maumalo got injured in the trial, his wing spot will likely be taken by Staines or Tupou. I don't think there's been any update on how bad Maumolo's injury is, he may even be fit for round 1.

Izaac Thompson has to contend with currently suspended Taane Milne, but every chance he just holds the spot in his won right.

edit: from Tigers forum it seems like Maumolo might be out for a while.

    Thank u Milchy.

Death, taxes, and people overreacting to fantasy scores in trials. Just look for the roles and fill in the obvious value! Some things never change, gotta love it Laughing Laughing

Can't be arsed making a million drafts this year just to inevitably swap out one cheapie for another or change a fringe EDG around based on the latest round of rumours and injuries. Burned myself out on that last year, just don't see the point in making a proper team until TLT, so running with a skeleton of players I definitely want to start with at this stage:

    Cheese
    Tapine X X
    E Butcher Garner
    Cleary (c) Doueihi
    Talau Alamoti
    Turbo X X

    Boyd Hopgood Katoa X

Fill in the blanks with whatever cheapies actually end up getting named, and fit in probably one more gun mid, one mid-range mid, & two mid-range WFBs (pick of CNK/TMM/Miller/Perham/HTF et al based on how the rest shakes out) around that.

Even that's probably too ambitious, one or two of those are bound to fall through between now and TLT.

Egan Butcher depends on Angus' return. He's training so you'd think he would play - whether it's starting or just sharing minutes with Egan at first, who knows.

How would this affect Sutton? Didn’t really pay attention to where players played or how long for.

I am liking Preston, expecting a bench spot for him and coming on for most of the game on the edge, with RFM moving into the middle early

Team of week 2 of the trials (that's actually cap compliant) (spent way too long on this):

    Liddle (51)
    NAS (78) Carrigan (72) Yeo (68)
    Hopgood (63) Olakuatu (56)
    Cleary (62) Johns (51)
    Schoupp (61) J Tupou (58)
    Garrick (70) AKP (65) Russel (59)

    Weekes (63) Marzhew (55) Hosking (55) Burns (53)

    Warbick (52) Kenny (47) BMM (45) Moale (40)

Score of 1118 in the 17 with NAS (c).

Murray (58) Moses (55) Doueihi (50) and a few others miss out due to cap issues.

Lock that in for round 1.

In all seriousness, it does show the folly of reading too much into the trials. Very few legitimately fantasy relevant/value guys in here.

I have both of those guys at 20 and 21 (TMM and HSS at 18 and 19), honestly don't see any replacements for AKP that are better - it's realistically Sloan (who looked shit), Moale (probably won't get enough mins) or BMM (could be out of the team at any moment and won't get his dual)

That makes Thompson (of the British Bull-Dogs variety) a lot more appealing in the Middle for me.

I'm not touching, mainly as the R1 bye is awkward plus the injury history, but Liddle is someone I've considered. Priced at 39, career minutes over 50 average is 48. Potential to go beyond that.
