On a serious note i really believe Ray Stone in for a big year. With the amount of thrashings the Dolphins will get he'll be getting big minutes sooner or later as the year goes on.
Lock it in Eddie.

Levi is absolute garbage and he's a cock.
Happy for him to have a few weeks run, low minutes from Starling to nosedive his price then every year mid season Starling train. Choo Choo

Brown paper bags aside, there's been many many comments from Roosters players and impending Roosters players about how at the Roosters they set you up for life (as well a improved profile, premiership opportunities).
It's arguable that this gets around both the Cap and TPA's, and creates an unfair advantage, undermining the point of the salary cap.
But philosophically I also wonder, isn't that what should be aspired to? These guys wreck their bodies and in some instances their brains through heavy collision, is it unreasonable for them to want to be taken care of in and beyond their footy career?
Should the NRL put their foot down and say, no, you can't help players past the career, you can't help them establish businesses or upskill them?
Or is it just something that other clubs need to get better at?
Our can they even? Does it take a billionaire patron to make it possible?
it goes further than just having rich owners though. Rich owners in plenty of other sports have run into problems many times over, with in-fighting/etc/etc. Money doesn't automatically mean you make good business decisions that keep the entire organisation happy.
League clubs are hilarious, most are so bad at running their own backyard. The players know this. They know the Roosters (and a few other clubs) are better to play for (ie better places to be 5 days a week). It's not stuff the average fan sees and has nothing to do with 'brown paper bags'.

Speaking of Roosters
Danny Weidler - Privately Roosters are hoping to have Crichton back in 6 weeks as best case scenario

Hope Crichton sorts out the mental health issues soon.
Who gets that spot for 5 weeks +. Egan Butcher?

NAS and Tariq on the edge for Storm?
Sorenson Panthers left edge?
Angus in the 21 shirt?
Very few $250k players named in a starting role
Warbrick, Mclean, Talau, Doorey could all miss out and it wouldn't be a massive surprise. People will have to play crappy bench forwards, Khan-Perieira or rejig their team

Starling is a terrible player and that's why they've brought in another terrible player to start instead of him. Don't think there'll be a Starling train this year, unfortunately. Is Woolford injured? He's slightly less terrible.

Seems like Levi is taking on the Woolford role, and Starling will have the Starling role

Exactly….check the championship & league one in England for premier league teams bought by incredibly rich owners promising the world but then proceeding to mistake their arses for their elbows.

Trying to think of what forward the Roosters might give up to the Knights for Dom Young.
They'll say no if they want either of the Butcher boys. They love Collins for some reason with his one great game in ten. Lodge no. Radley obviously not. Fletcher Baker? Terrell May? Not sure if that'll be enough, but it is the Knights. May would be a fantasy go with more minutes.

Going to be some value in Roosters Mids then either JWH steps up or May could be a bolter for decent minutes

I think bench could be Turpin/Hutchinson, JWH then two of May, Baker and Wong. May is definitely in black book. But tricky running him as well as Butcher and Cheese until after the bye.
