He has been talking him up for weeks. I am hoping he gets named on the bench so most miss him, but looking for good scoring in 60 minutes on the EDG, while others grav guys like Doorey.GarethEllisismyDad wrote:Phil Gould gives Jacob Preston some absurd hype here

If preston is named on the bench, are you expecting him to play 60 minutes in edge rotation?
How much game time would he get if he starts.

I'm curious to know how everyone is separating and prioritising the different edge options.
who are you set on?
who are you happy to let through to the keeper?
I want EButcher but already having the likes of Wilton, Katoa, Loeiro, Garner makes it a bit tricky (Classifying Hopgod as a mid for this)
Not sold on Loeiro so a downgrade could facilitate a Garner upgrade to EButcher?
Grant
Carrigan Cheese Hopgod
Wilton Garner
Cleary Douehi
Alamoti Thompsn
Teddy Miller Warbrick
Ford, BOyd, Katoa, Loeiro
Doorey, HSS, Talau Preston 29K

Re: NRL Fantasy 2023 Part 4 - It's go time !
Bulldogs last year were a bit strange in that they'd name people on edge and play them in middle, and swap people around mid game
Joe Stimson played a role that maybe Preston would have if he gets a bench spot, and averaged 32 minutes. Preston seems OK, maybe he'd make enough cash in 30 minutes of game time to be useful, and he might get a starting spot before he peaks to extend his usefulness. but its far from a sure thing

From what I can gather, RFM will play a bit of middle as well as his normal edge role and if Preston's on the bench, that's where he'd get in I think.
I'm definitely looking at him if he does get on that bench (Ciraldo said on radio that Pele is the guy filling in for TPJ), especially if Doorey's no good for round 1

With TPJ out bulldogs are short on quality Mids, and will need RFM spending most of the game there as the first Mid sub. Bench is going to be something like JRey, Preston, Waddell, Davey/Pele.Milchcow wrote:

Is "bench edges play 60" the new "edges play 80"?

I am expecting similar for Carty if named on the bench, with Murchie moving to MID early.rhinoceroo wrote:Is "bench edges play 60" the new "edges play 80"?

Preston should get between 77.1-79.2 minutes based on the first grade trial where Kikau seems to be playing a short impact 1-3 minute role.
Its what the evidence points to

Only until TPJ comes back, then will only get 57.844 recurring minutes
