Is Carter really a must have? Talk of downgrades to him. Trades of Whitehead or Evans. I'm not sure.

He had an awesome game. But so did the rest of the team. Souths absolutely dominated up front. It may be a different story when facing the bulldogs pack or the mobility of cowboys or broncos.

He jumps out of the line early so could be exposed in defense by smart teams.

Eels forwards look super willing and were never beaten.

    New combinations all through backline.

Plus playing one of the greatest teams to ever run into the field.

    I'll take the 25.

Yeah, I ended up NOT picking him but wouldn't be worried if I did. Looked really good before the injury. Did you see the gash after it was stitched? Absolute pearler and surprised he kept playing.

I'm not sure he is worth downgrading for but he should be playing big minutes now without Sutton, so will make some pretty decent cash, not like his try had 5 TB's in there

I would expect 30-40 consistently from him and at his price that is pretty hard to look past

Yeah Sutton out but they've got the twins coming back which will mean Sam can play a little wider.

I would by no means call him a must-have. But he did make 52 points in base stats (run metres + tackles), and -14 in MT/errors. Even if he made that many -ve every game (doubtful), he would still be averaging 40ish over the 74 minute spot he would be looking to take in replacement of Sutton.
I would not normally be moving people around to get him in, but I have Lichaa, so to upgrade him to Friend or Peats I need more cash. I will be the first to admit that in an ideal situation every single one of my players SHOULD get a second chance ...and yet, Fantasy is a cruel mistress....

Who will play in the halves with Williams given Austin & Seizer are out for a while. Jack Whighton & someone else to fullback. Hodgson worrying me

So Gurgess comes back this week and the general feeling is Surgess will move back to Lock, Carter to replace Sutton. Does this mean Musgrove is likely to keep his bench spot until at least when Tom returns (rd 7)? 36 Tackles and 100+ meters for 39min of play (if the fantasy match center is to be believed) is pretty fkn juicy for another 6 weeks....

Way i see it Carter started and was playing big minutes, with the twins back Sam goes to lock, Turner moves to Suttons edge and Carter stays pat.

It's pretty unlikely Hodgson plays there, it's a chance yes, but I think Clydesdale is out for at least another week. Before the season started Ricky had talked of Lachlan Croker playing in FG this year (I think he discussed using him as a utility on the bench) and he's been training with the FG squad so he's my pick. The other option is Wighton to 5/8 with Sisa/Rapa (hopefully Sisa, don't need Rapa's hands at the back) at FB. I think Ricky will name Wighton at 6 tomorrow but play Lachlan there on the day (or possibly bring him on after 20-30min). Either way, Hodgson playing there is an option but probably the least likely of them. I'd be more concerned about Hodgson for other reasons if I had him in my team.

Anyone here sticking with green in their 17? He went missing for periods from what I watched which is hard to do with a big ass red beard.

Not sure if he will retain his spot, but other options are either hunt or copley which may be a bit sideways

Plus with turners injury history Carter may even be cemented starting on the edge for the entire season

Thanks Archer - Yes I am concerned for Hodgson have Lichaa as well, may upgrade both or go 1 upgrade and 1 cheapie (in Hok or Hlf)

I think you've summed it up fine. Much like Benry, no decent options to trade out and you aren't really losing anything keeping them on if you have someone else to play there while holding on to them. Not worth the value of a trade IMO. Have to think to yourself whether with 6 weeks to go and 3 trades left you will be happy having used that trade in Rd2. I wouldn't be.
