Evans at least had decent minutes, but in turn probably limited his effectnivness going forward where he is so explosive, conditions didn't help though! I would keep Evans over Grant I think.my tv broke wrote:
me too. is it the right move? is evans to carter worth the trade? i dont like to throw away a player i had the faith to start with, after just one week.

If Carter can continue to score in the high 30s - 40s then it might be worth it, you are gaining $100,000 for similar scores

Another couple of shit scores for him and he will be a bargain, worth keeping an eye on because the Broncs are going to be pretty damn goof this year and he will benefit.

I have LAM and will probably sacrifice him. Only got 42 minutes for 30 points, but the 42 minutes is the worry not the points, due to thinking he would get 50. Early in season you take a gamble on those sorts of players, looks like Jake Trobjevic will work out but LAM won't. Turns out Dragons have too many middle of the road forwards in JDB, Packer, Mooper, Creagh, Lui and LAM and even Havilli playing in the middle. Think they all will take points and minutes of each other with no real stand out. Clearly Thomson when fit and Frizell will play the 80 or close to.
Even though I knew it but edge second rowers are the ones where most of the value will come from eg Carter, Turner, Whitehead, Rochow, Cartwright because they will play 80 or close to and have more opportunity to jag big scores with attacking stats and being on the field close to 80 minutes. I will get Carter this week and look to bring Rochow or Whitehead in by week 3/4, probably Whitehead because Rochow maybe overpriced by then. I already have Cartwright and pleased he got 80, and if I was a Whitehead owner I would be happy with the 80 minutes with no attacking stats, penalties etc his scores will only improve. Turner I will pass on given he is too much of a risk but could be a good POD for those that started with him if he lasts.

Can afford any FRF or 2RF for Henry if I go with Garvey for Lichaa leaning towards JTurbo for cash purposes. Mannering also an option as it looks like his role hasn't changed. Thoughts?

This is a very interesting idea and one I quite like.
Oh bugger, can't afford him. Back to plan A

i'm in a nearly identical situation with:

moeroa is probably the one you'd chop but a first round 40 where he did SFA in the game, its hard to justify not sticking with him. Evans didn't score terribly either (and will should improve), and Grant played 60 mins in terrible heat and a stupid/crazy game. if he keeps getting those mins the scores will come.
any advice?
Top one I would chop Grant or LAM for Carter. Personally I'm going LAM to Carter.
Second one I'm not sure probably Grant/Moeroa. You just have to determine which one realistically has the most money to make over the length of time you are happy to hold both.
Probably cut Grant due to Tigers having Woods and Sue being first hitups etc and spending a lot of time behind their posts waiting for conversions probably doesn't mean he's going to be super productive.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 12
He started slowish last year from Memory he def dropped a fair amount of cash at some point but a dangerous game waiting too long on someone like Hunt who can bang out consecutive 80s no problem mate, if you can judge it right and if you can get the likes of Bunt when he bottoms out, great feelingbig jono wrote:

Graham is looking good. Played lots of minutes and seems very fit.
As an aside what are the thoughts on liicha to randall and gallen to carter.... which would leave me with 500k in the kitty bit light on guns tho would only really have parker, dce and tedesco (and jturb) and a bunch of mid-rangers...
scoored 700 first up.

Wait for team lists on Garvey, I expect him to see at least 60 minutes and average 35.
Looking at whether I get
Turner for Ben Henry
Musgrove for Fisher Harris
Garvey for Ash Taylor
Randell for Ash Taylor
have locked in LAM to Paul Carter. Not sure on Musgrove as in 5 weeks could be out of the team with Turgess back. Fisher Harris could be there all year and slowly make the cash so could be a wasted trade.
Probably willing to wait on the Ben Henry trade out as not sure I want the risk of Turner. Ash Taylor maybe worth another look but I reckon he will be a dud. Missed tackles galore and no kick metres. Also can't break a tackle. Lucky he got the two try assists but that won't happen every week because its the titans.

Not really worried about how my players performed or saying Rochow Paasi Taia Packer would all flop.

Same-same as a few here - not sure who if anyone to trade out for Carter.
Smith, J-Nik
Woods, Surgess, Leuluai, Evans
Parker, Whitehead, Rochow, Safiti, Cartwright, Bhana
DCE, Taylor, C-Walker, Hastings
Roberts, Lafai, Benry, Guth
Tedesco, Barba, Ferg, Feeney, Mitchell
717 first round so although better than expected, definitely not great but no major injuries or concerns.
