Come on Milch. Just not the same is it

Only season he’s scored under his current average was back in 2015.

Literally only risk for Turbo scoring below his current price is injury, which is obviously a very real risk

He is priced at 44. He averaged 37 last year. he went nuts in 2021, and he averaged 39 in 2020. That included a 60 injury game, but even excluding that it takes him to 44.
There is a very real risk Trbo does not average more than what he is priced at.
And there is a 100% chance he misses round 2 this year, injured or not

What a tasty first up game this Thurs.

Both teams should finish somewhere near each other come season end, both have had some big change to their rosters in the off season either via injury and transfers and Storm v Eels matches have thrown up some pretty interesting matches in recent years.

    Cannot wait!

Similar to turbo, i think Brian To'o is another where people want him to replicate Vlandys-ball scoring

    His last 4 season averages are 39, 59, 43, 41

Hs is only priced at 38, and I can see a low 40s average, so not a terrible pick, but I don't think he'll replicate his 2021 scoring.

is there are 'crackdown' on anything in particular to start the year ?

is teddy going to play wet weather football for the first three weeks of the competition like every other season ? (obviously not this weekend)

is everyone locking in Shaun Fensom (C) ?

There were rumours of faster play-the-balls and offsides being more heavily policed, but can't say I noticed it in the trials and doubt I'll notice it during the season either.

Yeah I'm not expecting 2021 scoring but I think 40 average is his floor but could easily be high 40's. That's gold to me amongst the current WFB options, Not after 10+ points value, just lock down one of the WFB spots for me that I don't have to worry about for awhile and I'll be happy.

Imagine for a second that mattnz talks up a player. A player who is overpriced based on his 2020 and 2022 scores. but who went on a good run in 2021 and scored 1.7 tries per game. If mattnz recommended this guy, the usual suspects would be here within minutes to make the same snide comments they make every time he posts.

I think it would at least make people reconsider trbo if it happened

Agree, there is a weird need to try and put people in their place, or be more correct than others around here.

I haven't heard any rumours, but have started plenty. The most recent one was from a highly-placed source (a Doctor linked to a club) who was quoted about the HIA official:

"any head contact, at all, they come straight off for an assessment. Any second contact, off for the game. These people's lives are too important to risk for their livelihoods"

which means Martin Lang is a no-go, and I'll be steering clear of Miller

Yeah I dont see the rush to buy Turbo. WFB is pretty hard this year but Turbo is a huge risk for mine. Can always have a wee look in round 1 and 3 before going in. A month is a longtime in the NRL

I should be more specific, because I’m not trying to have a dig at anyone.

My point is more an observation that people are more likely to tell you you’re wrong, then jump in and discus the merit of a pick.

i think if you want that, there is some merit in Drinkwater, or another player who plays every round up to origin 1

If there weren't such good halves options I'd be all over him - good talent, maturing into a key role. Kicking game will improve, running will increase with confidence. Probably 200k value.

Drinkwater or Teddy would be fine but big jump in $$ for them. Walsh would've been the only price comparable alternative to To'o I would've potentially gone with if he was fit round 1 but sounds like that decision has been made for me.

Can anyone remember from previous years when new TLT players (eg Lodge, Young T) get added to the system?

His 6 tackle 80 minute performance in round 2 last year was an all timer.
