patolo is out too & he usually was used in mid rotation...the bulldogs middle depth will be thin if all 3 are out...apart from tpj i don't know how long the other 2 will be out

Just read about Nicho’s mum. Looks like Mum’s are behaving worse than players this year.

I have never gone guns and cows, but this year I will be. Likely to be too much value in cheap cows at TLT, far more than other seasons.GreenSchist wrote:Quick question regarding where people think the best value lies in making money.
I've drafted up a team that is very much Guns + Cows, where the cows I have selected I think are at value prices and have decent room to increase price and hold that increased value.
Currently the likes of Tapine, Haas, Carrigan, Fifita, Grant (along with guys like Cheese, E.Katoa, E.Butcher, Boyd and Hopgood who are obvious value guys with 'gun' potential).
Is there equal value in grabbing these aforementioned players and intending to keep them, or banking all the young guys like Hosking/Garner, Nicholls, Wilton, Loiero, Ford etc in place of 1-2 guns and riding them up in price, just to potentially bring in the previous gun guys down the track.
I'm seriously considering going the stacked approach considering I'm potentially saving on trades and acquiring similar value.
I'll obviously ride basement value guys like Preston, BMM, Preston, Stone, Carty, IKat, Blore, Talau etc with the hope of making $150k+
The result is a shallow backline and limited depth if cows don't make bank, but I'm really enjoying the stacked forward pack.
Grant
Hass, Tapine, Carrigan,
Fifita, Butcher/Katoa
Hope that makes sense

When will the first round of dual position updates come through? Is there one before the season or not?

If Sutton plays similar mins to Thompson then there is about 10 points of value there... it would be a slow burn though and you would need him for at least 6 weeks to make it worth it

Before Round 1 but not sure of the exact timing. Dragons won't be updated until round 6 though.
