Note that Doorey has never played 80 mins in a game. Every chance that if they sub an EDG it will be him.
Also recovering from an ankle injury and someone was saying he has a history of head knocks.

No guarantees that when Matterson returns, he retains his starting spot. Throw in a low ppm and he is a low return, high risk option.

I have 3 EDGs $250k or under and he isn't one of them for a reason.

The conclusion of my research is I won't get Blore, because he'll likely be gone too soon, and I have 3 other Tigers I am interested in (Doueihi, Uto, Talau)

I like Uto, but I'm concerned Klemmer & Ofa are the two big minute middles and Twal gets a fair chunk off the bench.

Bench looks very Sheens of old (hooker + back/utility).

    Pole impact.

So could still be 45 mins there for UTO ?

There is a chance he stutters his way to a small price rise with slightly above acceptable scores and just hangs around like a bad smell. But the upside is good. Every chance he can get around 40 points, which for the price is amazing.

I'm stuck on Hodgson vs Grant.

Obviously Grant I'm buying at his max price and he will score around that each week. But I like Hodgson as that middie cashcow and he should see about 10 points a game bump in price. Obviously some concerns re. Injury but it also gives me TMM over Warbrick

True, he has the pedigree, and of their mids, he's the only one that has a chance of 20+ point try up the middle.

One 55+ score and he's on his way.

Doorey/Carty look like they'll get at least 3 weeks each, and Carty just looks so much more likely to score points than the Door.
Despite the memeness of it now, the Carty Party originated in fact

There's also Preston, if tyou trust he gets enough games time.

The middie edges just look tempting this year. I'd love Garner, EKatoa, Loeiro, EButcher, Hopgoodbut there's just not room in the team for all of them

EKatoa and Hopgood locked in I think and then have to work out who I can fit in of the others

Agree. It feels ridiculous to pick Carty but I can't ignore it.

Pleased about Sadrugu, at least he played there in the trials, unlike Dunn who is yet to lace up his boots. Weird they couldn't give any dragons players dual given they are handing them out like chocolates today.

Absolutely right. No logic at all to giving it to players who aren't names (Dunn, Sadrugu) but not to team who's not playing (BMM). Either do neither or both.

Top tier research re: Blore from Milch and tv. Cheers lads.

I can't get over Carty's random kicks he used to do into the in goal. I recall he essentially lost that game for the Eels a couple years ago against the Dragons when he came on for iPap.

Doorey's on Lane's edge, right? Is that where he played in the trials? Might be that he's filling in for Lane and Carty actually has iPap's vacant edge? We know Carty can play 80 mins, albeit poorly.

Lachlan Miller giving me Brodie Croft vibes

Really good scores from his limited cameos, and good NSW Cup stats, but can he sustain it week to week in the NRL?
Is it ebven worth it though dropping him down to someone like Hammer/Sloan? Do they make the saved money worth it?

Is it purely just knowing he is likely benched next week?

Also toyed with this swap and it's a resounding no. He's that popular anyway that we will all be in the dumps together if he sucks.

A bit like with Bateman at the Tigers, people aren't quite sure where Matterson will play when he comes back from suspension.

He's been playing middle recently, but started out on the edge, and they look to have a need for him there, so it would make sense to play him there and keep Hopgood at lock. Who knows what Brad Arthur thinks though. He might think Doorey/Carty are the answer.

Before Lane's injury though, the prevailing wisdom was that Doorey was the front runner to partner Lane on the edge

NO Sloan and hammer are Duds,

Miller is insanely fit having a rugby sevens background, has huge workrate, has high job security, and a similar running style to Tedesco, (crabby tackle busts)

I have no qualms about him for the price,

finally Newcastle have a nice draw for scoring points, so I expect him to do well.

But this is just one mans opinion

Again, if we get 3 weeks of the Carty party scoring a reasonable 40, we're getting 100k for our troubles plus a low BE to squeeze a little extra from the bench. Seems worth the risk to find out?
