I really am a fan of your but to inject yourself into this is just silly. Without even getting into the stuff that really pisses me off yes I would like communised junior development and a distribution of players. Same thing that happens in most American sports and works amazingly well.
Why the fuck am I driving kids to Clovelly for junior footy on a Sunday? I’ll tell you why because the roosters won’t pay to fund their own comp and the rabbits told them to fuck off so now I spend 90 minutes each way plus 30 minutes finding a park. You might go yeah it’s 13 yr old kids I say say we’re paying for them all and it’s a joke.
The competition isn’t fair and it’s not meant to be but idiots like me will just cop it

I don’t understand the intricacies of the junior development in roosters and south’s areas and it seems to me like junior development for every club should be incentivised, so I won’t touch that

What I will say is that the American model works because every college gains millions of dollars in revenue and prestige from their collegiate athletic programs, and that’s the same for high schools development

I don’t see the same occurring in NRL due to the size, scope and money involved not being the same

I guess my point is that any team in the nrl with good organisation, recruitment, salary cap management, decision making, and patience can become the best club, there is no structural impediments

    Any excuses are just that

I believe a draft is unworkable, unfeasable and undesirable

The broncos got the spoon on 2020 and will be in contention in 2023, due to better decisions on all fronts

867 (pre updates) good for Top 1500.
Very happy with that considering I had a lot of misses, fortunately outside my playing 17.
Missed the Carty Party and will likely let that one slip through to the keeper.
May be forced to trade Tapine down to Nicholls/Loiero/Ilias to upgrade my backs, especially if Talau is out with a leg injury (no WFB cover yet).
Blore, Preston and I.Katoa not helping me out much in the cash making department sadly.

759 probably worst start ever. Last move was AKP instead of Doorey 31. Don't think I made many wild picks. Something like 310 from last 9 players today is a gut punch. Not sure what to do tbh

I will take Brooks 17 after he was still on -2 after 60 minutes - I may even keep riding with him of we can keep that last quarter scoring rate going... What a shit week! Almost hit 750

Couple of HIAs, a sinbin, a few tries, an injured player, possible suspension, a few duds, a Hopgood.

Fifita, AD and Boyd took me from 55k to 7.7k in that last game.

Want to get Ilias and Nichols in for the cash grab but don't know who to drop everyone apart from cheapies mostly doing their job. Back to the roulette table next week I think.

    765. After a fairly good game one the rest have been terrible.

No idea how to fix this ship

781, poor score but really only let down by Blore HIA and the repugnant centre combo of Talau/Alamoti (somewhat alleviated by storing Bird on the bench for next week)

Yea I don't want to panic on my CTR/WFB's not producing as they pretty much did exactly what I expected (which wasn't much).
Possible Talau injury may force me to make a trade and Tapine was my worst MID (behind Murray, Carrigan, Haas and HopGod).

Completely understand I have nothing to complain about compared to some others here and that these are only trivial matters.

N.B. On another note, my 11th hour change to punt Cheese and E.Butcher out of my team paid off big time!

Anyone want to take a stab at who will be the most traded out player after round one? I suspect a fair percentage of amateur coaches who started with Brandon Smith will be like he only scored 36, yes I know he had to take some time off the field, but still I was expecting more from him, and 😭 😭 😭, plus the Roosters have a bye coming soon, etc etc.

Butcher to Bird will have to be a trade next week by the looks.
Loiero can jump in as a replacement
