    800 on the dot

Assuming Butcher gets a suspension, he's an easy out - especially with the bye

Not sure who to bring in just yet but if looking at pure cash gen, then Nicholls and Ilias look good. Nicholls probably less risk than Ilias

834 and just inside the top 7000. I’ve never had a good first round so this is good for me.

Seems like trade decisions made for me with EganB likely suspension and Talau likely crippled. Think Trindall probably gets a second game but will see. All this is a Tuesday evening problem anyway

Like everyone else hoping Bird gets lock. If he gets edge, it becomes dicey. Centre or 5/8, it’s a no.

I don’t understand the intricacies of the junior development in roosters and south’s areas and it seems to me like junior development for every club should be incentivised, so I won’t touch that

What I will say is that the American model works because every college gains millions of dollars in revenue and prestige from their collegiate athletic programs, and that’s the same for high schools development

I don’t see the same occurring in NRL due to the size, scope and money involved not being the same

I guess my point is that any team in the nrl with good organisation, recruitment, salary cap management, decision making, and patience can become the best club, there is no structural impediments

    Any excuses are just that

I believe a draft is unworkable, unfeasable and undesirable

The broncos got the spoon on 2020 and will be in contention in 2023, due to better decisions on all fronts

The broncos are one of the very very few teams with that ability to do that in a fair comp. My point was is the tigers are spending all their money on helping junior development that is then abused by other teams. I’m not talking strictly about the tigers. The panthers are a prime example right now, the league is overrun with their juniors for a a reason and the reason is their pathways.
As for the impediments they are absolutely there, why do you think we don’t see the salaries and 3rd party deals of nrl players?

As much as I was complaining about Smith Butcher I ended up with a 859 so alot went right.

Only left myself 30k so will fall just short of Butcher to Bird

580k is a really tough amount to spend

798 for me, Thank you Adam Doueihi for saving me from a worse fate.

Might have the bank to go Butcher to Tohu but Bird could be an option I guess.

if Butcher is suspended next week I am very tempted to just go him straight to Val in a single trade (got 92k bank so I think just enough), that way I have two gun centres (Val and Bird) as well as a decent WFB line (Walsh, Miller, Warbrick) and don't have to mess around with the shitty outside backs.

At least I got my shit in when the bell rang, because I spent the rest of the weekend getting ragdolled like a job guy in a dark match. 780 with hopefully a modest 20 point update to come.

Probably gonna go Butcher to Ford and bank some cash. Got my eye on EKatoa and Ponga as ins, but might have to save for Bird if he solves a CTR spot.

I just went and checked 1995-97 results. We had 4 Queensland teams those years but they never all won in the same week. So this weekend was the first time its ever happened

    Early trade thoughts are:
    Butcher > Harris; and
Katoa > other cheapie that can make cash around $250k. Probably makes it BMM, Sloan or another $250k that didn't play this round.

Want to make sure I keep cash gen moving along, or likely to regret it in a few rounds to have a dead spot in the team. Katoa doesn't look playable in my 17 either, which can be an issue with the bye rounds coming up.

Without being a dick, wouldn't most scores be the same given all the teams posted here the past week?
Give or take one player I would imagine the difference would be 1 or 2 players and the same with cheapies.

Seems a lot of posters with similar scores to mine if I'd stuck with Doorey instead of switching to AKP. Last season I was 2nd overall after 2 games 2-3 rounds in and had a terrible overall rank at the end but remember many on here starting badly but doing well later so going to stay positive and not panic

So many players who could easily turn it around next week. Tino, Ponga, Cheese, Uto possibly.
Warbrick and Doorey hopefully find a few more points as the season goes on.

Or they are just shit picks and should have been more boring

it’s so impressive to me that there’s a guy in the fantasy community who just does this stuff because you want to and you know that there’s 6 people who care. As much as mtb should run Fanhub you should be that stats guy for everything

982 for the top ranked team

    Grant
    Murray, Taumalolo, Cheese
    Hopgood, Garner
    Doueihi, DCE (C)
    Staggs, Holmes
    Warbrick, Miller, CNK

    Ford, Ilias, Keppie, Cartwright (looped)

    Super balanced team.
Could have been even better with no Garner, Smith or Taumalolo switched for other popular players (Louero, Nicholls, Carrigan)
