Haven't seen him mentioned though looks a good value option if you can't afford a Harry Grant/Damian Cook/Reece Robson

He has started bleeding some cash after playing off the bench and you might get him low 600s soon

Might be an easy swap with Brandon Smith owners at the Roosters bye if you feel like a change then
Round 7 bye though but you can't have everything nice

I'm targeting Api for a purchase soon as I am currently running the gauntlet with only Boyd at hooker, and Api will get nice and cheap.

Even if Api averages 40 across his next 3 games, he will still be under 600k by round 5 which is when I will need a hooker, so ideally I would trade one of my peaked cashies straight to him that week.

Ok, so I may not have been 100% correct with the Teddy (c) call last week.

But this week looks good. Roll them bones baby!

Do you not own Cleary or Murray?

I think that's more the kind of approach I'll look to take this year. I won't be throwing out years of historical data based off one game, but in 5 weeks time Josh King is still pumping out 70s I'll have to ask why he isn't in my team

The real question is how long does it take to form a trend. Wait too long and you miss the opportunity. You need to make a fast assessment, I would say 2 rounds in a row and you need to run with it, unless there is going to be a significant change in circumstances, (i.e. players coming back to steal minutes, as in his case).

But if your assessment is primarily based on a significant PPM increase resulting from higher base (Reed and Tohu), then 2 weeks in a row are likely to indicate that something is different this year from last (maybe carrying or recovering from injury / covid last year and back to full fitness). They are the ones you should be jumping on fast, especially when in other recent seasons they have shown that same PPM in base, which means the previous season was likely the anomoly.

Jed is on the bench this week, they probably dont lose 2 of their 17 early.

Host who has played the majority of the minutes on that EDG the last few seasons is coming back from injuring in the next couple of weeks.

So gonna bring in underpriced guns instead of cows who I believe are 50-100k undervalued and generate team value this way while improving my scores.

After getting carrigan and Harris this week. Will be looking at Mahoney next week if illias grabs another good score against a top team I'll have to really start considering him.

    This is the way.

I already have Carrigan, getting Harris and Mahoney this week.

Did I hear a younger Blocker in there? Also, back then, was it a more of a polite “Please be not as vocal, Mr. Roach.”, and not the current, “SHUT UP, BLOCKER!”

One of my big weaknesses in recent years playing has been missing good cows because of 'what ifs' coming back from injury. I missed May last year for example.

With the extra trades this year I'd rather take the risk on making cash than play it safe with boring slow burns (Sutton was the other trade in opti

The big what if for Carty, is what if he keeps the EDG and Lane is back round 8 (same injury as Savage who is back then), and Carty keeps a 50 average. Will be the biggest regret of the early season for anyone that missed him. People are only looking at the downside what if, which worst case is a couple more starts, then back to the bench.

He put up 57, doing very little, his ceiling must be 90+ with a try or 2.

Take more $ when he steps on the field off the bench with a negative BE.

I can't recall any time that I have traded out a player with a negative BE that was due to take the field for decent minutes, especially early in the season.

If a guy like Matterson / Doorey / Lane goes down with an injury early in the game and is out a few weeks, you would kick yourself for not cashing in on it.

Obviously this is a luxury post in regards to the current topic with cheapies and swapping them around but who tf do I captain tonight when I have Cleary, Cook and Murray...

*don't worry my team besides these few guns sucks aswell (hence why I need to make the right captain choice tonight)*

He was actually on fire in 2021, was missed because of limited minutes. His game last week aligned with that form, (and his early career).

Ahh....I was racking my brain why he was calling him Chopgood. I thought because he was good at a legs tackler or something, you know like the saying, 'chopped him down in a good tackle.'
