Easy trade, I would think Sims will return through the middle rather than the edge, and move to edge only if there's an outside back injury (and Loiero would move to centre as he did briefly last week)

Two games so far for Garner and still looks lost. Also got subbed. I'd trade.

If I dont see the role I like then he's gone with the bye ahead, and if I do see what I like then sweet one less trade and he sits a week out for the bye.

With his BE at 46 he's not in danger of losing too much cash, and in fact if he gets the right role recoups his losses from last week, and if he snags a try even better he goes up a bit more

Agree with this, if he doesn`t have the ideal role next week and cheap centers fail again go Smith to Bird

No rush on Cheese for me

If it gets to his bye and he still looks a bit sus I can move him on then. Shouldn't lose much cash, and still potential there for some good price rises

I’d hold Cheese if I could but he’s the best avenue I have to pivot to other cows who look like they have a lot more potential

Going Cheese/AKP to two of Thompson/Ford/Carty gives me a cash injection and more playable choices in the upcoming byes….

    Thoughts on the following?

    a) Just 1 trade, Garner -> Sutton

    b) 2 trades, Garner and Talau to Carty & 461k or under (shortlist of Kenny/HTF/CNK)

Leaning towards the safe but boring option A at this stage.

EDIT: Just realised Garner to Carty and banking the cash is also an option. That's probably the play hey.

Mate, another piece of advice for you this year from me, don't buy known shittos.  Especially ones with no set position that could become a bench utility at any time.

Its a real head scratcher for me that folks who bought a guy for 30s to 60s scoring are punting him because of a 35 first up.

Coach even said they will work him up to 80 mins. This was known.

The roosters were awful. They arent going to be awful every week. Or will they?

I am punting Garner though. Watch him score 50 in 80 mins this week hahaha

Two 50s before his bye makes him 25k, so worst case if you sell him, you can buy him back in round 5 at around the same price, while having got three weeks of good rises out of someone else.

With 44 trades this year I think it's viable, if we only had 36 like last year I would probably just begrudgingly hold him.

If you sell him now why would you buy him back in two weeks. Thats even more silly. You going to sell him again in round 6 after another 35?

It would be in three weeks, and I would only buy him back if he is playing big minutes at hooker only and looking fit and involved - which I don't think will happen.

My point is more that even if I'm wrong about him being a slug, I still have some leeway to get him back in if (and only if) I need to.

    Yeah don't get it.

I reckon if you can't hold Smith now you need to avoid players with byes in the first 4-5 weeks next year. I also don't think the 44 v 36 trades is enough for sideways shuffling like this, when you factor in all the schedule complications

Plus he will get a 68 and a try this week

Almost went without him but joined the bandwagon. Mins/Role issue. Bye coming up and have 2 other Roosters. Rib issue worry.

Easy sell for coin maker or better prospect

In my defence, after selling Cheese, I only have three players with byes in the next three rounds (Cleary, E Butcher and Boyd) and no two in any one round, so I've mostly done that already (one reason why I didn't start with Teddy or Turbo)

I will be holding Brandon Smith unless he doesn't play because of a bad case of tackled real hard.

The Roosters bye is coming up in a couple of rounds, it makes way more sense to ditch him then if you are going to.

If you think you can swap him for a sure thing and it doesn't involve you substituting a shitto in CTR for a shitto at 17 then go ahead but don't be surprised if he does exactly the thing you bought him for in the first place.

Sometimes it's group think, sometimes it makes sense.
