Not sure if anyone has answered in the many pages, but Brookvale Oval is very suburban on the Northside of the harbour bridge. There’s no train, and I think the locals like it that way. You can ferry to Manly, but not sure about then getting a bus onto Brookvale. Or a bus from the city to Brookvale.
And getting back would be a pain
By contrast Shark park is a long way from the city but there is a train line to Cronulla
You take the 180/L80 from wynard and drops right out side brooky

Is Turpin an option at $408 if Smith is out for an extended period.

Yeh I'm not the best at the sneaky tactics so maybe there's a way to exploit it I'm not thinking of, but just making it so that if a player locked in your top 17 starts a game and leaves field for hia assessment, u can swap in an 18-21 seems pretty foolproof at face value
My first thought is someone getting a mid-game failed HIA and the fantasy player waiting the weekend to see if he gets out scored or see who scores the most and then activating the switch to take their score, a failed HIA shouldn’t be an opportunity to have a free look, my thought would something along the lines of having the same rules as for a late out (ie. highest EMG of the relevant position, 18th man if a benchie) and you have to make the call to switch either before the game ends or before the next game starts.

Still can't complain, never had Ford (2) or Suaali'i (9) TMM (10).

Classic! Genuinely especially if you read it in their voices…

Had him in and out in pre season. Starting the season well but his historical scores at 80 minutes didn’t give him much value (2021 PVL ball aside). He does look good though and rate him as a player

Yep i dont like a free look either. Similar to what you're suggesting I think, I envisage ike a special hia swap S button pops up beside the player during the game once sent for hia assessment and dissapears before next games kick off or something

Not exactly against it, but devil's advocate - you start allowing an EMG sub for HIAs and then what about other injuries?
Players have done ACLs etc only 5 or 10mins into games before, why is a head injury any different. And what if a player plays 75mins and plays shit but gets a HIA with 5mins to go? You get to switch him?
Cam of worms. It will never happen anyway

My Nostradamus post of the year
Mandatory carbon fibre helm covered with polyethelene foam.
That's where were heading and that's fine with me if the league wants to protect players and prevent future lawsuits. You either get players to sign a waiver in their contracts and collect the cash, or introduce the helm policy. It would have the added bonus of breaking the arms of dog shot specialists like the ones that took Ritson out of the game

Fantasy is a bit like poker. Everyone is going to get their fair share of back luck in the long run, it's the skill that will allow good players to consistently do well.
Chins up fellas, long season ahead.
