Fairly good round for me, 838 with only Smith of injury concern.
Gone from 15k to 2.5k rank too.

Not sure what to make of Boyd so far this season, we think he's gonna come right? Or is he a trade out in coming weeks once fires are put out?

Looking at Reed myself. Think he's a reliable 50 each week with solid upside. Not going to compete with Grant, but Grant's also almost 200k more. Hopefully Reed works his way up a 100 or so and Grant has a game with 20 missed tackles, haha.

Ok round for me, 796. Still couldn't crack 800 though.
The trouble with trading out Smith and Boyd potentially being a trade is their dpp was handy. I bet a few have Smith as their main hooker and Boyd as hooker and half cover. Is going to make trades interesting.

Can't see inside Holbrook's head but don't imagine he'll drop him after one bad performance, even though it was very bad. He will however be in the "one more bad game then he's dropped" basket and one more bad game does seem imminent

Tempted to pre-empt that and go Boyd & Cheese to either Preston & Grant or Preston & Robson & bank. Probably the latter because I do want to keep some bank, and then there's byes and Origin with Grant. Zero hooker and minimal half cover for a few weeks but yolo.

    840 pending updates
    Overall: 2448
    Round: 4028

Followed the gut with (C)hopgod after taking an early night on Thursday, only to wake up 10 minutes before KO with a gut feeling to move from the Chin... probably a sign I am way too invested in this haha

ITT, Boyd and Cheese let downs, but not going to complain as some got so, so much unluckier with the likes of Ponga, Talau, Ford etc.

Cheese is definitely gone this week, in comes Preston.

Second trade I'm tempted, and almost hoping, Boyd get's dropped so it makes the decision easier to flick him to Reed. Means running one HOK, but you're always a trade away from having cover.

Great cash gain so far, scoring 160+ in my EMG's.

CTR roulette didn't work out, Alamoti's stare from the bench hurts, but a great round.

A chance he could be a trade out this week as it wouldn't be shocking to see him dropped after that performance. I do think he probably gets another chance though, they won round 1 and he played ok then so not quite panic stations.

I'd like to think he can put up some 50 scores like end of last season if he keeps the spot but who knows, even some low 40's would be fine at his price and as the only one in the team kicking that really should be doable. If he doesn't he'll certainly be on the trade out list in a couple weeks.

I also jumped on the fantasy rollercoaster with Cheese, ITT, CNK and Boyd contributing 61 points.

One of those mornings where you're left with the "what if's" over a bench of Uto, Doorey, Alamoti & Warbrick - not world-beaters, but I could've swapped that 61 for 160 points if I had a divine epiphany.

Still, it's early rounds and that volatility comes with the territory. 25 rounds to go!

Think the hookers are priced pretty much in the correct order for what you'll get for them in Fantasy... Cook is better than Grant is better than Robson is better than Mahoney is better than Egan. Get which one of them you can afford comfortably.

    In terms of any learnings from the weekend;
You have to take Cheese at his word that it wasn't the same injury and he was good to go.
Nevertheless, I'm thinking that when there's some legitimate concern over a player possibly bringing an injury into a game (not that there conclusively was here), it's maybe better to roll with your 30-point NPR e.g. Doorey/Uto? than risk an early exit... (also thinking back to Tohu making a surprise early return the year before last)

I can get rid of Smith, but then Boyd becomes my Hooker cover as well as cover for Trindall.
It's hard to see a world where I replace Boyd this week - hopefully he finds his end-of-year mojo

I think Koro is my # 1 targer this week.

With that terrible head knock to Simpkin I can see him sole HOK this week and at his price he's a steal.

54 in 68mins, he should go close to 60 average if he plays 80 and will score well regardless of how awful the Tigers are.

Really good point. If Cheese and boys go this week, I lose my only MID cover as well as HOK cover.

May be a week where it's a calculated risk vs opportunity cost situation, can't grab them all without putting team depth in trouble
