His bye in Rd4 is swaying me slightly. Would be great to get a gun HLF with no byes for the next 10 weeks...

Might be a good move, points over cash and all. Would expect DCE to outscore EButcher handily, who might make 150k if he averaged 50.

I don’t get trades right typically, but for 45000 reasons I decided to do two trades last week -Smith and Boyd! Managed to dodge the disaster stories but did play Thompson over Alamoti and my 18-21 averaged about 50.

Downside is it doesn't leave me much cash to sort out some of my dud backs. Going to have to deal with Talau, AKP, HSS, Trindall and Boyd at some stage (Warbrick, iKatoa and Alamoti are probably not urgent issues).

If ITT does happen to get dropped for Milne (i dont think this happens tbh), then I'm probably looking at trading back in Alamoti after punting him last week Laugh

    My early trade thoughts are:
    NAS > Reynolds
    Ponga > Kiraz

Can do Butcher > Walsh next week if he is still not getting attacking chances.

Also frees me up to trade Boyd if he gets dropped, or continues to score badly, as Mahoney doesn't have a bye for a while and can run Reynolds / Douehi in halves, with Katoa as a just in case back up.

Reynolds is looking ideal for no byes through to 13, no origin, then a straight swap to Hynes for the other 2 bye rounds.

CTRs always seems to be next week's problem to fix up. Maybe we get Te Whare in the next few weeks and everything is solved instantly.

    Team would be:
    Mahoney
    Harris Cotter Carrigan
    Hopgood Preston
    Reynolds Douehi
    Alamoti HSS
    Kiraz Miller Warbrick

    Tapine Butcher Carty Trindall
    May Katoa Boyd Talau

You're really going to get Kiraz at $640k or so? That's crazy even for you, just get Walsh this week instead

Yeah Kiraz priced at what, 46-48? That’s like a 1-2 round punt to win H2H finals, not a remotely sensible move IMO

Eh, he's in a dynamite attacking team, getting great clean ball, and might pick up kicking duties. /s

Yeah might be too big of an ask for DCE to cover Butcher and an upgraded backline with the cash.

I was looking at Moses, ARey and uhh.. BHunt.. I think his MTs would do my head in though.

Probably just gonna hold Butcher, hope he can get some double movement tries with the new rule.

Me last week: BMM is the easiest money you'll make in this game.
    Me today: Lol

I'm glad I wanted to see how he played first. Does not pass the eye test. Next

Not entirely sure what to do this week. My only real issues are ITT and CNK, but they aren't worth much and I don't have any cash in the bank. I'll happily play ITT again as long as he's named. CNK probably misses a week.

I have E Butcher who could fund Walsh but I don't think he's an urgent trade. Having the bye next week does help convince a trade I guess.

EDIT oh yeah and i have Boyd, lol.

Could have, should have, but didn’t. Draw becomes quite bad now, bye in Rd 4. I had planned to sell him this week from the outset. I only spent that much at FB fir the opening two games -which clearly didn’t work. Great first halves then nothing in the 2nd.

Initial plan is Boyd to Preston

Does leave enough for CNK if out to Bird which is appealing

Probably worth holding E Butcher this week and trade him out for Walsh in Rd 4. Nothing more annoying than trading a player in thinking they'll play in a particular round only for them to get injured/suspended.

He's going to be around $620k, priced at 43, which is his career average, but performing much higher than that in the first couple of rounds with great "base", plus tries on top of that.

Week 1 without a dubious HIA, he matches Walsh's round 2 score without a try. Round 2 if you exclude his tries, line breaks and 5 of his TBs, he still beats Walsh's score this week.

I'm not saying I am not getting Walsh, likely comes into my team next week, just prioritizing the order that they come into the team based on BEs.

With Walsh you are watching the game going, how is he possibly not scoring more than 50?
With Kiraz you are thinking, his team was thrashed, no tries, how did he still score 50?

Every season we get a Too / Garrick / Nofo / Rapana. He is my pick to be this season's but could be better than any of them.
