Round 15 Trades
Simon Mannering
Covers one extra bye, super reliable base stats, back to playing in the middle and the cheapest you will pick him up this year.
Will probably push Whitehead/Cartwright to the bench after the byes.
A better 'insurance' policy than Tolman as well due mainly to him playing a full 80 mins (which is rare for a middle forward these days).
Will be my safety captain this week
Shaun Johnson
Plays an extra bye round (next week) over DCE and has X factor to go large on his day.
The Warriors go well over Origin and usually finish strong so hope to ride his form into the end of the season.
As DCE is returning back after the same injury he has had twice this year, Johnson appeals as a replacement to him
Tuimoala Lolohea
Provides me with some cover over the next few weeks and has potential to go large.
Has scored well at Fullback since playing there and is a gun who looks to have grown more into a play making role and loves a tackle break.
Hurrell turned out to be a terrible trade so he should at least be useful and could have potential to become a keeper

Well will be running with this squad until further notice, so hopefully can avoid any major injuries, minor ones can be covered by the depth.
IF I can survive until round 20 unscathed, should be in a great position for the run home

Booze, with Roosters having the bye next week, you aren't tempted to wait 2 weeks on Parcell to Friend?
I see you have decent cover for him next week so maybe its not a big issue for you - but might be ncec to have insurance in case Smith or one of your other origin guys gets rested.

I see you've talked about that in the fantasy thread. Serves me right for opening this one first

Nah it's a valid point and could work if perhaps I do the Friend/Parcell trade but there are a couple scenarios here for this 'trade'
Friends BE is 85 (64 average)
Parcells is 54 (55 average)
Odds would say Parcell will make his break even, given this is his average
Could take this calculated gamble and gives me a definite hooker for next week (Storm play Sunday against the tigers at home) for say Smith being rested which I had overlooked.
Have looked at the 1 trade (Mannering) or 3 trade (Mannering,Friend,Tedesco) but perhaps I could take a gamble and make just the 1 trade.
I have chopped and changed on this alot and amended this blog back and forward alot haha.
If worst case something goes wrong I always have an option to push Aitken to WFB and bring in someone like Peachey/Lolohea and run with them over Tedesco so there is always options.
Literally flipping the coin on this all week, based on 50/50 if i save the trades for later I always have choices and you can't buy extra trades.
If I do the above and with 4 trades remaining this early if I get a couple season enders i am done, IF i wait I am still in this with 6 trades and that is a probably worth the wait.
Cheers

Well made some more trades in the end, have amended above to reflect the changes made.
Week wasn't going well and going into this round down DCE and a couple injured players who I was counting on, so decided to roll some calculated dice.
Will see if they were worth while in the end, that is the beauty of hindsight.
It may mean I can't trade in JFriend/Tedesco but have built some more depth to hopefully cover me for the rounds to come
Sometimes it is better to try something and fail, than sit back and do nothing at all

Round 15 Results
Well another rollercoaster week, started off pretty poor but with some mediocre scores and didn't get much better with Hurrell/Munster not playing.
Due to the start looked at making some more trades so would say they worked out alright giving me some added depth to my team and gaining a couple more solid scorers in Johnson and Mannering
Tough week not owning James so this led to me slightly slipping in ranks but this was essentially a 'hold' week for me with not having a full team
Got smashed in my H2H as well, congrats to 'Weapons' who had an impressive score for this round
Anyways will see how the next few weeks go, low on trades so hopeully can stay around the top 500

Good trades on the SJ and Mannering. I think your going along nicely mate. Still ahead of me. 105 places, but who's counting.
How are you placed for round 18?

Cheers mate but that spare cash I used to buy cover (Lolohea) would be handy for Friend next week if he is going to be out for a bit.
Trying to avoid a downgrade as it is essentially a wasted trade but $$ are important too.
This week is looking tough and that's with early planning but these damn short term injuries are curve balls you don't see coming
Anyways nice work Sik,, looks like you are amongst it and will be overtaking me soon haha

Doing really well Booze, hope things go well for you in the coming month
Your 4 trades make me feel great about my situation, not planning on making any trades for a couple of weeks.

Haha glad my position makes you feel better.
No trades for me this week at this stage, so 1 week closer to round 26
Probably doesn't look as bad as some due to not needing the extra trade cashing out. Like for like swaps instead if injury occurs
17 players this week including Munster and Johnson who have both been under 'injury clouds' in recent time, hoping there will be no late withdrawals but won't be the only one effected here
