Yeah I have lots on my watchlist around that 600k - low 700k mark that I think can elevate to keepers. So I could maybe go Butcher/Boyd to 2 straight upgrades depending on how they perform

Looking at ARey, Mahoney, Welch, Koro, Bird, SJ, Walsh

Others like Brailey and Tatola will also be very attractive in coming weeks as their prices come down

Just watching Butcher if he passes the eye test, he's not a huge concern, but his cash can be used better elsewhere if he's just plodding. Trindall yeah has an expiry date, but should hold a low BE if he maybe gets a bench spot. And yeah Boyd is same reasoning with Butcher, plus his DPP is handy

Yep seems like we are thinking the same.
I am defo keen on Bird and going to watch Hammer and count his hit-ups as it is going down, but his tries are going up Razz - not absolutely certain on him yet.

At a loss as to what to do this week. I don't really have any guys that need to go this week so I guess I am lucky, but have guys like TMM, BMM, Doorey and Talau who I can't really trade for anyone. Would like Preston or to somehow find a way to get Walsh but just don't have many options to get them.

Yeah I was a bit disappointed in Miller's score R2, he certainly puts in the effort, so I have him filling out the 3rd FB spot..it's a fight between him and Warbrick, who might get a few pies against the Terrible Titans.

My head says to do something like Brailey>Mahoney/Grant + BSmith>Preston, but I might need to make higher risk plays with how bad my rank is now (spoiler: it's 52k). Any thoughts that I missed would be appreciated.

    Brailey
    Tofu Haas HopGod
    EButch Katoa
    Trindall Hastings
    Alamoti HSS
    Mitchell Miller Warbrick

    Carty BSmith Doorey Cleary
    Katoa Boyd Ford Talau

Wouldve been nice to target guys like DCE, Walsh and Bird.

still a very good team in there, just been bashed by variance on the HIAs and injuries

with only two trades theres not that much huge changes you can do,

centres are weak but its not like there are any value centres you are missing and alamoti and HSS are putting up ok scores,

either of the trades you suggest are excellent, it just depends on what flavour you like,

Im a fan of mahoney and walsh, but preston is guaranteed cashie if you need cash money,

good luck with your choices, you're due a change in fortune

My concern on Bird is his minutes and that his first stint was awful. Probably ends up close to a 45 ave but don't think he's urgent. There's tons of ctrs around 600k that can go boom at any time, but think the cheapies can do the job for now as ctrs can also have very low games (same reason I didn't get Hammer)

Expect mid year that most options will look similar and it's take your pick between Manu, Graham, Lomax, Crichton, Holmes, Farnworth etc.

Doorey > Preston is a single trade swap, no cash required. Get out of the slow lane and onto the fast lane, with a guy you can play in your 17.

I looped in Talau after seeing TMMs score this week. Safe to say it worked out well

Doorey ? Why punt him ? He's just out the back smokin' a doobie slowly churning over, isn't he ?

Yeah, thank you - good point re Walsh. I'll have to weigh that up. Mahoney leaves money to make moves next few rounds.

You have not missed either player, Preston is the lowest BE in the comp and HTF is 12th lowest - You can do it!

Hammer getting over-priced, 3 tries in 2 games, a try save, a try assist, going to have a < 20 game soon enough.

R4 bye and the high BE means I'll likely sell. But dire hooker coverage tempts me a little to hold.

    Against better judgement I'm holding

    1. I'm ranked 50k
    2. Two injury shortened games don't change the player I selected preseason (please be over the injury)
    3. I don't want to be forced to trade in a hooker or MID next week
