It's not his latest score or nostalgia which has me interested. It's that he's getting all of the kick metres and all of the goal kicks.

He got 528 kms last week. I hear you say, yeah but he only got 388 the week before. To which I would counter, yeah but 388 was effectively all of them, he's getting all of them, and most weeks the Warriors should kick 500km+. He's also getting all of the GK's, not the 0.7 goals per game built into his 2022 price.

I think Warriors need to do well for him to do well, so there's risk there, to go along with his perceived injury risk. But the Warriors look slightly better under the new coach??? Trading out Cleary is probably silly, but trading in SJ is not the worst punt imo.

He may have base stat improvement over last season, but can't see him getting back to top tier half levels. When he was a top 3 half, he had an amazing running game, that he doesn't possess any more.

I agree, but base stats is what we crave sometimes. If he's priced at 43/44 or whatever it is and he can average 50+, with a low BE, and no byes for a while, there's worse options if you need a half. I know you're keen on Arey. I would argue he's just as injury prone and is priced at his average?

Any reason to get someone like Doorey or BMM (up to 301k) ahead of Sloan? I'm currently going Ford and Boyd to Sloan and Mahoney (and keeping E Butcher), and Sloan seems the best of the guys I can get in terms of cash generation.

I know his floor is low but the Dragons don't look as bad as we thought they were and he only has to average 30 over the next 3 weeks to make 90k.

Ford will probably make more cash than Sloan, if that's what you're asking.

You've got me thinking, will do some more analysis.

Don't need the cash this week, but an extra $125k could come in handy, even if it costs 5 points a week.

The good thing about Reynolds is he tends to be pretty consistent. SJ had 4 scores in the 20s in a row last season, which would make me die inside this year.

I don't know who posted it, but there was a podcast with Hynes himself before rd1, and whilst he said things like, should be right etc, sounded wiffy to me. Hopefully he's back soon, no matter how much I need Trindall. PYTM's comments are also insightful and much appreciated.

I need to trade Ford down to someone at 301k or less to afford Boyd to Mahoney as the other trade. Already got most of the cheapies (Preston, IKat, Trindall, Carty etc.) so Sloan seems the next cab off the rank.

Feel like I have an opinion on everything tonight and no idea why, wtf do I know? Anyway..

If I were trading out Cleary, I'd have to go for the big gun in DCE as he has the best chance of matching or possibly surpassing Cleary.

Moses and ARey have pretty good byes, but I'd like to pair them with Cleary via a Boyd trade or if a gun/couple of mids go down. BHunt kinda tempted me, but just not the same tier.

I've balked at SJ's price. Seeing him mentioned, I had to go check and $606k.. I couldn't do it. That one time he was 480k coming into a bye round was worth the punt and it paid off.. but seems risky now. He's averaged 50+ every season* apart from last though and has a new 5/8 and FB that haven't been kicking or creating much like Walsh seemed to, but those hammies man.. Gut feel pick I guess and you've got a good knack for those.

*2021 averaged 50 taking out the injury game.. those are all pre-nerf stats too I guess.. really doesn't feel worth it tbh.

Nicho Hynes is hoping to return in Round 4 from his calf injury suffered in the preseason (via @DaveRic1). Sounds as if the injury had tendon involvement with the Sharks approach to rehab/return to play - longer healing times/more gradual rehab progress with tendons

Scans revealed Sam Verrills suffered, and played through, a fractured collarbone on the weekend. Unrelated to the stinger/burner he also dealt with. Titans expect him to miss “the next few weeks”

I know I posted about how BS9 was interviewed after the game, he said he was sweet during the week and didn't know what the new problem was, some kind of muscle issue in the back, I guarantee you is what he said. But pretty clear it was BS (which doesn't surprise me). He got smashed in the ribs the first week. Smashed again the 2nd week. They are talking about one of the most painful injuries which is a pain tolerance issue, which he got needled for??? We don't need a detective, it's rib cartilage. He's a sell. Pick up later if you really want.

Nicho seems another week away too tbh.

We believe you.... wouldn't believe Brandon talking about an injury he may need to play with, that opponents would target, to test as much as possible.

Would you trade E. Butcher to Tohu or Boyd to Tohu? I am more inclined to trade Boyd out but with Cleary on bye and if Douiehi is a late out I am down to 16 but I think Boyd is a dud. The position I am in with my team right now it’s dicey like Milchy team the next few weeks for me are important and I will have to take a few risks ie… run without cover for a couple of weeks here or there in certain positions. I need Tohu this week otherwise I’m playing BMM at mid I don’t wanna do that. I want one of Bird or Walsh too but can’t this week.

Alright, there’s too much smoke around Doueihi to leave myself with no cover if it’s on the money, not a fan of the cheaper options so Butcher to Grant it is
