Just thinking for the key round 13 bye round, Warriors play Broncos.

In that game, Warriors won't be missing any players.

Broncos will be without Haas, Carrigan, Flegler, Cobbo, Capewell, probably Walsh.

Will be surprised if SJ doesn't outscore Reynolds that day.

Read the script. One good game for the Broncos and you're the next Billy Slater. Billy Slater (the best fullback I have ever seen) was middle of the pack at fantasy btw.

Also, Staggs would GK if ARey goes down. Walsh might get more field kicking but the Broncos would be worse, so a net no change probably.

I could be wrong, and probably already answered, but didn't Walsh take a couple of goal kicks in the trials when Arey was absent? I remember someone being good and the other not so much.

Looking ten weeks ahead and expecting SJ and ARey of all people to both be on the field is, shall we say, hypothetical.

Staggs took the kicks (and got them) while both he and Walsh were on the field, then Walsh took a couple after Staggs went off.

I just want to say, it's late, I'm still five pages behind, and I hope it's worth reading and not two kents having a fight. Play on.

No, no idea. Probably? The cowboys site says hes returning from a PCL injury.

Their pack is pretty stacked though? He might get the odd game with injuries etc but Luki is definitely coming into that 17. Tamou will drop out, but wheres the minutes otherwise for sadrugu. Hes probably a low minute guy even if he squeezes a game in like neame was early on

Leilua may or may not be back pretty soon too

I have NFI, but I was very happy to see Luki in the 18-21 today. Very excited for him. Only a matter of time before Hess gets found out on that left edge. Possibly explains (partly) why you put Chester back there rather than move Holmes. Edge defence is why we sucked not so very long ago and Holmes has helped sure up that edge. Hiku too which surprised me at the time. Let's hope Shiba can do the job.

2nd edit: Antipodean san wa akarui hito desu.

Feel like I have an opinion on everything tonight and no idea why, wtf do I know? Anyway..

If I were trading out Cleary, I'd have to go for the big gun in DCE as he has the best chance of matching or possibly surpassing Cleary.

Moses and ARey have pretty good byes, but I'd like to pair them with Cleary via a Boyd trade or if a gun/couple of mids go down. BHunt kinda tempted me, but just not the same tier.

I've balked at SJ's price. Seeing him mentioned, I had to go check and $606k.. I couldn't do it. That one time he was 480k coming into a bye round was worth the punt and it paid off.. but seems risky now. He's averaged 50+ every season* apart from last though and has a new 5/8 and FB that haven't been kicking or creating much like Walsh seemed to, but those hammies man.. Gut feel pick I guess and you've got a good knack for those.

*2021 averaged 50 taking out the injury game.. those are all pre-nerf stats too I guess.. really doesn't feel worth it tbh.

As I say, I'm not convinced. I wanted to just touch on that bit about "you've got a good knack for those". That's just it. I don't. I've built previous success on vanilla. POD's are stupid imo. SJ would be a real departure.

I've learnt a lot over the years, but "learnings from 2019 fantasy" has been my most instructive. Without digging it up, (point number 5 or something) the gist is, don't trade in bye players until the bye. And would you believe, it was old Rabbit that taught me that. Not by helping someone with advice, but laughing at others who didn't.

This year is different with the extra byes and extra trades. I think planning trades or numbers ten weeks in advance is still silly though. Which is why I mention it.
