First two games I've kept an eye on Miller and he's made me nervous not owning him just because of his slapsies. He'll go large at some point - 43 & 32 with no tries, assists or even offloads...

    I'm on the fence.

I think it will be worse watching the Broncos and not having Walsh. Broncos are on fire, they have a good draw, Walsh will carve up

Was going to put him up as an option. Did need the 2 Tries though to crack the 50 in game 1. Then the TA and 244m in game 2. Thats alot of attacking stats for just 7 more points then Holmes.

Herbie could easily keep getting them of course.

What's your hooker situation if you bin Boyd?

No hok cover if Boyd goes, but am willing to put faith in Cook's durability *touches wood again*

I don’t get point 3, BSmith has a bye next week, so you’ll need a HOK or MID if cover is bad

Was more concerned with rounds 5+

Boyd on bye, Kenny could be on his last legs and suddenly I've gotta splash the cash for a decent hooker

I think he can still average 40 odd from here. Really didn't handle the strong wind well at the weekend.

If you only think he can average 40 mate he's probably a sell, too mid for price, pre season thoughts of 45 should be the goal to keep him I think

His base is good, so think he turns it around if he stays in the starting role long enough

Any reason why CHN won't continue these current huge minutes at lock?

If he had MID DPP I would have probably grabbed him after round 1. Whitehead too old and slow for the edge role so the only reason I can see CHN losing the role is Ricky Stuart

Think Holmes is a sell over Origin - Cowboys Origin players have a horrendous schedule over Origin where they would miss 13 (Origin), 15 (bye), 16 (Origin), 19 (Origin) + 2 rounds of Origin turnarounds (meaning R18 is the only unaffected round)

Therefore not sure Holmes is a legitimate keeper (as in keep for rest of season, no doubts on producing good enough scoring)

    Good points,

although im going for league win not overall so not a big concern for me as byes during origin.

    Add Sloan to this pls

5 stars - Walsh appears top tier without goal kicking. He reminded me of Ponga at his best or a Slater, he was everywhere, in every attacking play, high footy IQ.
I kicked myself for not having the balls to bring him in, was the second biggest guy on my radar from trials after Hopgoat. He is my first trade this round.

3 stars - Miller came over with huge wraps, comparisons with Tedesco's style, but he is playing for wooden spoon contenders, who are already decimated by HIA/injuries. I started with him and he had an involved first game but score wasn't standout, I feel his slapsies are not getting scored as TB, I heard a podcast guy say he counted 14 TBs not given (I haven't checked). I think he will be OK but have variance and a much lower base than Walsh.

3 stars - Sloan, looked rubbish in the trials, but did quite OK in his first round (2). For the price he could be a bargain. Playing FB he should have a base of 20 which makes him better than HSS/Talau and a few others.

Cheese does feel one of those we toss away and regret it at the end of the season. I guess it comes down to cash vs trades vs number of other fires.

Cheese is going to be a massive buy in a few weeks, under 500k tryscoring hok/mid dual with no Origin and 60-80 minutes. Doesn't mean he isn't a sell now.

I didn’t think that about tedesco

Broncos have knocked off two of the best 3 teams in consequence weeks have 4 games at suncorp in a row then titans,

They have proved they are the real deal this year, primed to score lots of points, that draw is worth factoring in

To say it’s not is fanciful

Probably averages the same as Walsh from here and costs less.

Thats a shout. I'm keeping Boyd and hoping he sticks around around long enough to start some decent scoring and cash making

I watched Cheese in the trials and frankly he looked like chunky cheese, so I opted out in an anti-pod move and started with Boyd at hooker and stacked my team with guns.

I will definitely be interested in watching cheese, because he is a guy who likes his hands on the ball.

Thats what I mentioned a few pages back, even if he scores 35-40 he has pretty much bottomed out now. Damage is done
He can hang around and cover the 2 tricky positions while my 2rf make the cash
The cheese redemption arc starts now (Thinking another shit round before the bye though haha)

Perham should be on people's radar. Has looked really good, connected well with the other backs. The first game they got screwed by the refs and never recovered. Could match Miller for less.
