Think after much umming and ahhing am moving towards Cleary out. Loathe to do it and expect to be punished but lets me go Cleary+Cheese -> Tohu+Hammer leaving me with 370k in the bank for next week which gives a lot more options for jumping off Trindall next couple of weeks once Hynes is back without being forced into a double trade. Walsh looked great and super fun to watch but happy to give him another week and grab Hammer with the lower BE and DPP CTR tags (regret not using my second trade on him last week). Boyd can have another couple of weeks, think he's got some mid to high 40s in him just got rattled last week and the Titans were poor. That may or may not improve but his price is unlikely to tank and can evaluate R5 at the titans bye.

    Leaves me running out:

    Egan
    Tapine (C)Hopgood Carrigan
    Katoa Fifita
    Trindall Doueihi
    Staggs Alamoti
    Hammer Warbrick Miller

    Tohu Preston Cartwright Ford*
    Doorey Boyd TMM HSS

Long term need to strengthen WFB and get Warbrick out of the starting 17 but 30s each week is fine (only 7 points less than Teddy, amirite?), hopefully can snag a try soon. Teddy in round 5 is a target, maybe Turbo if he looks good after this weekend but otherwise just need to wait for cows to mature and try bank a few trades while slowly grabbing R13/14 players. Hoping Egan can be serviceable at hooker until Origin, so far so good but a try each week helps a lot with that.

Wow @Snatchpato trading Egan Butcher out? I thought you might look at him one more week. He ain’t been getting good service from Keary.

I started with him the year that he was priced about 40, expecting mid to high 40's, but he ended up averaging 50+ until the first bye from memory. I was hoping Hodgson could be that guy this year. Not looking great, but the jury's still out on that one.

I got on Tolman that year and was pleasantly surprised.

Slightly controversial opinion (I think I've voiced it before) but I think Hodgson is done as a fantasy relevant player, if he really ever was one.

I think he's fine for a low to mid 40s average but, at 33 and with some serious injuries under his belt, I don't think he's making the leap up to a 50+ average.

I think he will fill a hole for those wanting a reliable HKR at a mid price to cover injuries/byes (last week was a blip with all those missed tackles/errors).

He was and remains a great IRL player but he is the ultimate get what you pay for guy and unfortunately what you are paying for is not quite enough.

I think he'd need to play 80. Average of 38 in 60 minutes at lock last year. Priced at about 43. Could be an alternative to lord SJ.

They have lost 1 big minute player in NAS and gained 2 in Tui and Sims, also had to adjust for NAS injury the last 20 minutes last week. Hard to see King getting more than he did last week, which was 63 minutes for 49 points.

Pretty shocked the amount of people selling Cleary tbh. His score this past weekend was injury affected. Unless the injury was semi-serious, I expect him to be back to 60+ after this weekend.

I think selling Cleary is fine if and only if it's to someone like Cook, and even then it's not the best trade to make unless you desperately need a gun hooker.

That said I think I'll hold him this week since I have enough depth to cover him this week and can bank a trade.

Give me Burton for $20k more than SJ every time.

I know Burton should likely drop some more cash but I may end up getting him this week anyway - certainly will if Doueihi ends up out.

I'm guessing Penrith are going to be very tight lipped on Cleary's ankle. Unless I've missed news.

Anyone else worried like me about B. Cartwright on Haumole side this week?

Also I need a gun mid want Tohu but need two trades to do it only guys I can trade out are Boyd or E. Butcher. I feel Boyd is a dud do I risk trading him out but then if Douiehi is a late out I’d be down to 16 this week?

Mine is less reactionary to his scoring and more making a move while he is on the bye to improve my team balance.

He likely comes back in for me at some point, and hopefully at even more of a discount, but thats just a hope, not a reason for selling.

Even with another score in the 20s, Boyd won't lose that much money (BE 37), you can afford to hold him this week if you need to.

Have you tried panicking more? That might help your thinking to make a decision.
