I just looked at Brailey but considering I have Robson it might be a no go for me. They both play round 13 + 16 (but would only be able to play one of them anyway) then they're both on a bye in round 19 (couldn't play either anyway!)

Will still probably get him if he gets cheap enough, but worth considering Koro instead:
    Round 13 Robson plays
    Round 16 "Both" play
    Round 19 Koro plays

You'd hope so, hes going pretty well. Hard to trust sticky though

I need a mid so am looking at him, shaq or Leo Thomson
Currently on Thomson, who is 100k more expensive but looks like he will play the most mins of the bunch and hopefully score the most points

Koro plays none of these rounds if he's playing for NSW. And if he isn't, Robson is.

Why not? And if he doesn't, Robson will. They're not going with 80 minutes of Cook again. 2 from 3 of Koro, Cook, Robson with Robson currently the outsider imo.

    OK Trades finalised

    Ponga to Preston
    B Smith to Tohu Harris

I don't think there is too many problems with those trades. Better than the maybe/maybe not MIDS on offer

Yeah agree, big name "in doubt" is a nightly news classic. No other drama to report on at the moment since team is winning games.

Be very surprised if he misses the game.

Seems to be an inane exercise to get inside Freddy’s cooked mind

Hmmm...Haas captain still a good shout. Maybe if Carrigan plays he might play less minutes? Who knows.

It's 1-13. They haven't thought it through. So if you have Robson and Mahoney in R16, for example, you can only play one of them.

This is such a stupid change to the game.

    Squad balance considerations

Not really a question really just helps me get thoughts down

Been thinking about what a final squad looks like to help choose what guns to bring in

ATM I have Tapine, Tohu, Hopgood, Collins all at MID but the best option in my price range looks like Carrigan. Collins will be moved on once he peaks, but by grabbing a MID now I'm basically locking myself into finishing the year without Murray or Haas unless I sideways trade lower level guns. The question then becomes is the best 17 going to include 5 MIDs (Tapine, Tohu, Carrigan, Haas, Murray)

Ideally probably wanting something that looks like this

    Cook
    Haas, Murray, Tohu
    Hopgood, Fifita/Ipap/Bateman/Crichton
    Cleary, Hynes
    Don't care centres are garbage
3 from Teddy, Tommy, Latrell, Papy,

DCE, Tapine, Grant then considerations for last bench around Munster, gun EDG, Carrigan, Yeo, Robson, Moses

Just as an aside for those lamenting their current rank, one of my footy boys showed me his classic team yesterday, and he's ranked 10k. He has the following players:
    - Hughes
    - RCG
    - Dearden
    - R.Smith
    - Howarth
    - Fuimaono
    - Chester

My point being, yes you had a crap start, but there's plenty of teams above you that are quite bad and got lucky to start the year. Trust the process and you'll catch up quickly.
