This isn't particularly clear. Has there been a clarification at some point that players on the interchange won't count if they double up a position you already have covered in your 13?

Just want to make sure we aren't incorrectly assuming that is the case.

I’m pretty sure this was clarified, not at desktop to easily find source though.

Arguments for / against Tohu / Walsh.

TU - stick with your original plan, Walsh + Preston
TD - go for broke, Tohu + Preston
(which would mean E.Butcher becomes Walsh next week, unless someone else is knocked out and will miss multiple rounds).

    Cheers.

Think if you do this, you have to look at the possibility that Cleary still averages 5-10 more (10-20 more as captain) then the alternatives over 10 weeks, so it’s really whether the other players make up for that

Yeah, it sounds vague and misleading. Why are they changing anything. U have the players u have.

I think I’ve just about been talked into Leo. Knights have no one, and just read he was a centre in u20s, so he has the motor (I hope). All signs point to 50+ mins. Maybe.

I know they are down on troops and he has moved into starting 13 but didn't they do this at some point last season? He still ended up playing max 40 mins, last week was the most minutes he has ever played.

At $400k I would like to see a game first

My personal opinion - E. Butcher at least matches Walsh at the same price point going forward.

Butcher gets a 44 in a poor game, all base, going to average at least high 40s from here (without sin binning).

Walsh has a blinder and gets 54, he is going to average in the 40s and a high chance of Origin this season.

Tohu is a season keeper and captaincy option.

The plan would be to wait for Cleary to get his attacking groove back - Panthers seem a little clunky, from watching both of their games they are missing Api's speed out of dummy-half, and the threat Kikau offers on the Edge. I'm sure they will eventually kick into gear, but the teething problems means Cleary's output is slightly down.

It pretty clear in the guidelines. Only the 13 players on field count. Anyone on bench/NPR won't unless they are an auto-sub for a red dot on field.

If you have two hookers in round 13, you're not getting the points for the second one on the bench.

Thanks, anyone have a link to the guidelines? So many teams are going to get caught out by this and be really pissed off.

What does this mean? In the big bye rounds, we only "need" 13 players, anymore and their score won't count into our score?

Pretty much, but they have to be a 'starting 13' your bench won't count in the 13 unless they directly replace a red dot in the starting side

Yeh sorry I don't want to confuse others, if this has already been discussed here earlier. Why is this a thing though, am I missing the glaringly obvious ?

Yeah I think they thought it was making it easier. And it might if you have a super balanced side with even bye distribution. Which nobody does

I remember picking Leo up last year and getting marginally excited when he was starting only to be left with the feeling I had picked up the new Leniu
