Tapine already a gun and has yet to get 50 minutes. It's been hot as fuck in all of Tapine's games so far. Once it starts to cool down I can see him getting more minutes.
The other thing to consider is JPap coming back into the side means Tapine's first stint shouldn't take as much out of him as Big Papa can take his fair share of the tough early carries where the younger blokes wouldn't have been helping out Tapine as much.
I'm personally very pleased with Tapine's start, and the best part is it's almost exclusively base! Take any of his games, give him 3 offloads and 5 TBs (which he's more than capable of) and suddenly he's putting up 70-80 point scores in under 50 minutes. The guy is a weapon and I can't tout him highly enough.

I could go any of BMM/Stone/Doorey to Lemuelu.... (to replace HSS in my centres)
or.....
Trindall to Turbo (would make my backline Kiraz, Miller, Turbo....and not have to play Warbrick)

Might give something to discuss today and it's easy to spend up the budget on a gun and then left with no way to upgrade the bench
You choose a few dodgy cheap picks regardless to force the trade and find yourself in a team death spiral
Have seen a few teams here quietly do this and have noticed it again this year. The fence is long and tall to observe from
Given the lack of 230k cheapies, might need to look at what else is out there and increase the depth of the starting 17 over some of the more questionable picks
Sub 400k players that can average 40+
400-600k cut price keepers average 50+
Sometimes I feel it could be worth looking at $/points too and see if there are some value picks that I may have overlooked. Easy enough to discount some and worth having a look while on a coffee break
I feel currently the cut price keepers there are few that the boat has almost left (Wilton/Gilbert) while I am a week or 2 early on the fallen guns if wanting value or need to see another game from them (Young/Brailey/Frizell/Burton)
So will be interesting to see whats around
