I feel that it's a sideways/backwards move you make to accomodate another trade like getting in a Cleary or Hynes, not for a guy like Hosking, who scores good in fantasy but has no proven record of being a regular first grader and no guarantee of playing next week.
But this is also how I end up crying all over my keyboard when I spend 750k each on Carty and Hosking in R19 and R20 to complete my gun EDGs

Need a Hooker.
Monday I had locked in Fifita/HSS to Brailey/Hynes. Man that looked good.
Tuesday I've reverted to Trindall/HSS to Brailey/Hosking. [Looping Katoa/Wakeham. Yuk] ..
Could also do Fifita/HSS to Hoskins/Hynes and play a hooker down

If you can't afford a more expensive hooker there is always hands

Hosking has started at second row 4 times in the NRL in first grade for scores of 57, 71, 55 and 94.
Go back and look at Brodie Crofts first 4 NRL scores.
Hosking will almost certainly regress a little if he plays regularly. Probably still enough value based on current price

Looks like I may need to grab Matamua instead of Ford this week anyway. Just discovered May is out of the Roosters, so is a trade out ahead of Trindall.

Will be surprised if Lawton doesn't make his way into the 17

He plays in a good team and runs a decent line with a good work rate
Happy with 50+ or a discounted Teig Wilton with a -6 BE
The gamble is on the job security, not worried how he scores

The fact he plays for panthers really is the key for me, if he nails down the role he’s gonna go so well

Ford is $160k less and looks to have an 80 minute EDG to himself and is dual.
Clearly must have been hacked to post such a sensible take

I reckon I'll go HSS and Trindall to Hosking and Hands. Risk it for the biscuit (famous last words).
29 trades and 32k bank remaining. Head down, ass up Welshy.
Finally clear of byes for a few weeks after Boyd's. Rd 7 for Hynes will be difficult unless a gun goes down, but should be able to get him by Rd 9 with Storm taking the bye and Warbrick/Loiero peaked (watch Warbrick go large Rd 8 and create dilemmas). Carty will have peaked too and maybe a cheap CTR comes along to cashout Alamoti.

Ford and Hosking score the same this week, let’s say 55.
Hosking makes 65k, Ford makes 50k.
Most importantly if you buy Ford you aren’t stressing all week that he’s going to be named again, you just reload and make another 50k if he scores 55 again. Easy decision for me and he’s 160k cheaper

Of course, but I’m also factoring his absurdly high work rate, among other factors
Playing Penrith counts for something in this equation

If rumours that Carty keeps an EDG are true and he maintains a 53 average, he doesn't peak for a while. Values him well over $700k.

If I skip Ford, I can use all the bank to go Welch to Cleary. It means IKatoa can shift to bench and go in the loop with one of the other shitters (with T Boyd on bye).
Is this silly? Welch's last two games have been frustrating due to minutes. Ford seems such a good buy at the moment. And IKatoa in a loop with ITT or HSS isn't likely to do much better or worse than just playing IKatoa outright, they probably all score poorly.
Probably over thinking last weeks score on Cleary a bit and should stick to original plan (and 1000 kick metres is pretty insane)
