I usually set aside the first 3 weeks to use trades to dump any dud cows and grab any ones I miss. If you are too stringent with trades and no cows come along into the season you can get stuck with the duds which severely limits your ability to upgrade to the guns come mid and end seasonsuperbucks wrote:My rule for injuries is 3+ = trade. I have 3 LTI's so going to leave Liicha til next week just in case there is some good news.
But if I only had Liicha to deal with I would move this week. At this stage of the season there are players you can pick up that you might have missed - so there is value in using your trades. Depends on your team though this is my general view.

Only thing is you're going to be burning trades doing so - especially as you're going to want to get a Hunt or DCE back in the team later on in the season.
Very true. It's a vicious triangle - scoring, making money, and keeping trades.

This is my thinking exactly. My problem is it's going to take 2 trades to do it.

Yea use a middie but not a gun if you are adamant the cow will make some decent coin, a Gun to Gun is sideways and wastes trades especially when you will likely want Hunt or another GUN half in to end the season with

Yeah the cows you might jump on are Walker and Garvey, but those spots are filled in that squad by it seems reasonable cows so not sure it's worht the trade. Otherwise there's Carter, maybe for Packer?

So if you already had J Nikorima, A Taylor, J Hastings, B Hunt and D Cherry Evans, would you just leave the likes of Garvey and C Walker alone?

yes mate, who is to say Walker doesn't bomb this week, although he does look likely to take on some extra kicking in general play because Keary is dump at it
Maybe for Taylor but there was talk he had a slight ankle injury so Roberts had all the kicking in general play which limited Taylors points...sideways but if Taylor doesn't get any KM then i think his ceiling is probably around the 30 point mark, Walkers might be higher but i don't know enough about him to gauge properly

Yea I do the same thing. With the Liicha injury though I don't think people should even hold if it's a month is what I was trying to say, and especially at this time of the year.

OK you've convinced me. I'll let it sit for a week, which should clear some things up either way. I might lose a little cash on it, but I also like the idea of giving the whole team another spin.

give it another week or 2 mate, if Walker gets a mountain of KM without ARey re-asses next week, I may even follow suit

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 13
I am sick of being the guy who sits back and waits.
I am going all in, Lichaa for Garvey. Hoping he plays out of his skin and gets 50+.
Lost a gun in Lichaa, and nothing but a gun will do. Will use the cash to turn Leuluai into JTrbo.
I am backing this plan so much, I am even thinking of playing Garvey over Packer.
I AM A MADMAN!!!!
But I tossed and turned over Garvey/Walker and Carter/Rochow so much that finally being content with a previously unseen third solution has to count for something.

@brentread_7
Lots of mail that Canterbury Bulldogs may make move for Wests Tigers Luke Brooks. Interesting ramifications for Josh Reynolds if true.

Good for Littlejohn if its a thing that could happen in the very near future.
But would it also mean Lichaa is a long term injury, Mbye or Reynolds to hooker and Brooks slots in

Rolling lockout exists all season right? If I want to trade a Knights bench forward to JTrbo can leave it right up Knights KO on Saturday
