Glad I kept Sutton over Trindall so I didn’t even have to consider putting HSS in a loop, between him and BMM the stench from my emergencies is worse than a third world tannery.

I check NRL app match centre or mtb’s site. Looks like they’ve changed again though

386/6c only so far. Fifita -> Hosking fairly happy with so far, similar output for 230k less. Small sample sizes though. Tapine and Katoa a little disappointing but nothing disastrous. Started round about 1k and back to 6k now but that is just lack of players (I hope).

Big games from Egan, Johnson and Staggs would be great Smile

Well that was not a great performance from us. I thought our forwards did quite well but the spine let us down. Cody was good but the rest of the spine general footy wise for me struggled. The kicking game was ordinary and we did not bring enough energy. Storm deserved to win and were the better side Munster and Grant controlled the game and their last ditch defence was great. They wanted it more.

Disappointing from Trell that first half he just wasn’t in the game. He injected himself too late.

I was proud of Thompson I thought it was the best game he’s played so close to a try too.

I was hoping for more from Warbrick, Katoa and Loiero.

    Anyway been a solid round I’m 9/541 C currently.

HSS has given me the easiest loop decision ever. Just need I Katoa to beat 4.

Teeth Eater wrote:As part of the lost files, I did actually pen a full summary last night but in a wild moment just ended up scrapping the whole post. Wasn't into the tone of it. Whilst being sympathetic to Teddy and his concussion, I had assessed that in terms of points scored / value lost / games played, he probably now ranks as the worst purchase in Fantasy I have ever made. Would never imagine I'd be saying that about Teddy.

I was also trying to wrap my head around it too. People say you don't lose anything if you don't sell, which I kind of understand. If I hold him all season (which I 100% intend to do), I'm technically not losing the 200K that he will lose by the time everyone else picks him up. But also, if someone (let's call them Craig) buys the player I have, that has lost 200K, for 200K less than I bought said player, that theoretically means that Craig now has 200K worth of value somewhere else in his team that I don't have, does it not? So whilst I have not sold Teddy for 200K less than I bought him, theoretically, by comparison, I am technically 200K worst off than Craig, am I not? Assuming that elsewhere, Craig has made similar/identical choices to me. For example, if Craig had started with Harry Grant when I started with Teddy.

First thing you have to do is realise the difference between a "bad" purchase (eg bringing in BMM) and an unlucky one (bringing in teddy/anyone who just got injured)

There's no lesson you can learn you can apply for next season. Don't buy players about to get injured is not a useful policy unless you know who's going down. I guess with the new concussion protocol you could avoid anyone with a history of HIAs but that rules out an awful lot of players.

Also, the biggest problem for Teddy holders isn't the dropped cash IMO, but the missed game time. 56 minutes of possible points gone last week, and then he'll be a bunch of cash sitting on the pine next week. That's a bigger issue for owners than Craig picking him up cheap in 4 weeks time. There's nobody out there that has gotten every choice correct so there are opportunities for you to get that money back over craig.

9c/607 - Grant, Murray and Captain Cleary more than making up from a bad start with Teddy going off.

I guess I should probably play it safe and loop in Loiero's 43 over Uto - which would make that 10c/650.

Can't sleep. So concerned with my teams performance.
Forgot to move (C) from Haas to Cleary. I've got 274/7.
If Tohu doesn't play I get HSS 4. Rank gone from 3950 to 22000.

Yeah Hymel Hunt is out, replaced by Dom Young. Rib injury.

Nrl.com didn't update the 19-man cut for Manly vs. Knights, but they're updated on the official websites. Robelgordo was on the case in the team updates thread too.

Good to see MS favourite Lindsay Smith have the best fantasy game of his career.

One of these days a club that doesn't have the best lock and prop in the world will pick him up and we can watch him shine

Teddy has had some rubbish scores, but I think the despair is inflated by the bye and the concussion which both weren’t him. He did look good right before he got wiped out.

I started with him this year and have been inside the top 200 the last few weeks. The only other year I started with him was 2019, where I held him all year and finished 20th overall.

    I think he’ll be fine
