Wanted to see if people could give me some suggestions on players I should think about trading out now or soon and players i should be looking to get in. Heres my team:

    Grant
    Tohu Hopgood Tapine
    Ekatoa Hosking
    Cleary SJ
    Alamoti Lemuelu
    Miller Turbo Sloan

    Uto Ford Carty Preston
iKatoa Warbrick HTF Perham 130k ITB

    help much appreciated Smile

Looking at that, I firmly believe you can hold both trades this week. See what happens with the Eels on Monday. As a few have stated, the Eels forward rotation should become more clear once Paulo returns. I’d like to believe that Lane and Carty will be the 80 and 65-70ish minute edges going forward. Hopgood could possibly be the one a lot trade out next week. It’s just a gut feeling. The question is are you going after Hynes now or post Origin? Do you want to strengthen other areas of your team?

Also, once it’s time to let go of EKatoa and Uto, do you follow the crowd or take a risk on a POD?

I and I imagine quite a few others find themselves in this same boat as you and the seas are only getting a bit choppier.

Dropped 109k so far down to 330k, hasn't notched a try or any other meaningful attacking stats so far so probably due to go on a run at some point. 40 BE so could easily find himself under 300k in a couple of weeks with another down game or two. The real appeal is that the Cowboys play R13 and 16 so would be an interesting cashdown if he does drop below 300k.

It's also worth pointing out that he might be the most consistent fantasy player in the comp. Here are his averages the last few seasons (70+ mins):

    2019: 36.3
    2020: 35.4
    2021: 34.5
    2022: 34.5

Set your clock by a mid-30s average, likely with some variation on the numbers 3, 4, and 5. And he's only averaging 20.2 so far this year...

One to keep an eye on.

Good analysis mr. Brownstone but it’s worth noting that Feldt is currently an absolutely atrocious footballer who looks lost out there

Katoa is looking like a keeper EDG, will eventually hit some big games. Uto very tradeable though.

I think from next week there’ll be a lot of variation in teams. Up until now it’s been fairly cookie cutter with a different gun choice across teams eg one team has Murray and another has Grant

Lots of cows maturing now and people moving on from a Carty or a Hopgood should see ranks fluctuate

Pretty confused on trading this week.

Thinking maybe to let go of Hopgood. Was leaning towards SJ but maybe go for Matto instead. Could go for Cleary but then I think, wait, maybe I just go for Cook.

Probably means I shouldn't trade this week.

Currently 20 mins oversubscribed. If team stays like this next week, where do mins come for Hopgood to maintain price. Niukore averaged 40 mins in middle games 2022

Makatoa and Murchie wont get that many minutes

Just got through a 30+ hour transit.
Read a few pages on here which gave me some ideas. But tbh what it solidified is I want to be patient and get Hynes in. Got cleary a couple of weeks and so fucking keen to have both of them for 5 weeks before Origin.
Thinking with Lane back now + Paulo to return - Matto surely plays some time on the edge and Carty is close to peaking.

1 trade for me - carty to Lindsay Smith. Had carty before round 1 so happy with what he's given me.

Hoping to bring in hynes, a pod back + a cheapie next week - adding depth to the halves and backs and trading out fwds like carrigan and anyone else who's maxed out or is defs playing origin if I can't think of anyone else to trade out.

Also loved reading the variety of trade options. Who's everyone going as captain this week? I've got cleary locked in atm but may go to another gun like Murray against the understrength Dogs pack for example. Although that may mean he gets rested now that tatola and turgess are back too..

Cleary is set and forget for me personally. Can definitely see sense in other options though if you think a matchup is good. Murray for a solid 65

Ooh you're tempting me haha. Walsh seems like a turbo type of player. Turbo gets huge sc scores cos of involvement in try scoring plays.

I don’t encourage anyone with premium guns or good rank to follow me, but as I have neither it’s worth going for it this week

Have heard a little bit of chat that Royce Hunt may be the biggest beneficiary from the Rudolf injury, as opposed to McInnes.
$325k and averages 34 points when getting atleast 30 minutes, either off the bench or starting). Could be a cheeky little cash grab.
Does anyone have any insight into his role or what we could possibly expect?

Considering bringing him in this week as it helps facilitate a Hopgood to Cleary trade (and I need Mid coverage). Another option could be Sele.

Is the FOG still open to non-registered league persons? I was too late for the latecomers league, so I just joined the FOL since it's public.

All good if it's closed to help keep the leagues organised.

Eels have good byes but R14 is going to harder to get a full 17 for if you go gung-ho on Eels, Knights and Manly

At minimum most will have Miller, Hopgood, some with Brailey, Frizell, Moses/Brown, Matterson, Turbo. And there’s already less than 17 players without considering Origin players not backing up

He was hard to watch last week. He's on the chopping block if he plays like that again tonight. Hopefully last week's game was an anomaly.

Hughes back this week should help. I'll probably hold until at least Rd 9. Gives me 2017 Felise Kaufusi vibes where he hovered around 50 for most of the season. Holding while putting out other fires was fine, but selling to a proper gun could work too, as long as he doesn't go large that week.

Interesting that Nikorima won out over Katoa as a trade in.

And wow it wasn't even close.. 21 votes to 3

I've been flip flopping between them all week, not sure who is the better option. Was leaning to Katoa on the hope he will do more of the kicking but I think they probably split it kind of evenly in reality
