I got him back in last week for Sutton....if I'm going to get mid 30s I want them to have some personality

I’m getting in for Hopgood who probably gets 40-45 for 250k more which BSmith should match

Teddy ok to bring in next week?

Should drop a bit of value after this week.

I like the theory but there's a lot of "wait and see". The waiting nullifies the big scores if you've got too many of those type of players.

I'd be pulling the trigger on Hopgood. You can spend that cash elsewhere and then pick him up again (if you wanted to) in a month when Paulo and potentially Matto get a call up during origin period.

I dumped carrigan this week. Looks to be coasting through the game to last big minutes. Then in a blow out he gets a rest anyway.

Carrigan is a guaranteed trade out by round 12. If hopgood gets the role I am looking for off the bench like Matterson last year, I can save 2 trades on him, if not I can look at trading him next week. If he gets 60 in 50 minutes this week there will be some regretting selling him.

    Agreed

I'm going to stash Bird away in my 14-17 with the Hopgood funds (wanted Young but rd 8 bye makes it difficult)

    Just noticed I can do:

    Hopgood -> BSmith
    Warbrick -> Walsh

    With 1k left.

Is that a sign, or silly?

    Don't hate it...

Been out of the loop the last few days for various reasons.

What's the consensus on Boyd? Sell, or worth giving him a stay of execution now he's back at HB next to Foran?

Same question with Warbrick, are people giving him another go, or just take the 145k and run? I think I probably need to cut him, not sure I can stomach continuing to play one of Warbrick/AKP each week.

I think tedesco is the easy choice.

You could be swayed on form of both teams and what you think going forward

Roosters getting back to full strength over the next two weeks.. maybe they get their shit together.

Broncos flying through some easy games but reality check last week.

I already have teddy so grabbing walsh this week. I dont really care how he goes. I like him and wanted him since the start. But i do think he can maintain close to 50s on average
Broncos draw gets hard rounds 9-12 so will be interesting to see if Walsh can keep it up.

Have to hold Boyd now with a BE around 25 and he got 40 last week with no kicking he will be back now to doing all the kicking.

I am holding Warbrick this week they have Manly where last two weeks right wingers against Manly have scored 79 and 58. Garrick is out too and no offence Manly fans but their edge defence has not been good.

Boyd’s a hold. Got 40 with no kicking, will get that back now with Foran. Should be fine for 45 regularly you’d imagine and get his $ back on track

I dumped Warbrick which I imagine most did. Catching a cold out there on the wing

Just looking at Mitch Moses as an option to fix my HLF problem.

2022 average of 52.  Against bottom 8 teams he averaged 56. Against top 8 teams he averaged 47.

2023 average of 60, and played Storm, Sharks, Panthers, Roosters (Top 8?) and Tigers, Eagles (Bottom 8?)

He next 7 games look pretty enticing:  Dogs, Broncs, Knights, Titans, Raiders, Rabbits, Cows. At this point I'm tempted.

But just took a look at why he's scoring 8 more points than last year.  Biggest changes are:
    Run metres +2
Kick metres + 3 [largely off the back of that 1,000m game against Panthers)
Turn overs + 3 [probably  not sustainable]

Now, less tempted. Back to drawing Board.

Teddy for me easily, I’m trying to figure out whether Walsh is worth the extra over CNK or HTF is the better pick up for the 3rd WFB as I’m fixing WFB entirely

Been trying to make that decision too but think it has to be Walsh. Don't love the Panthers, Roosters and Storm games all in a row for CNK and then he also has that rd12 bye where I'd have him, SJ and Ford out.

Other option I'm still considering is just playing Sloan or Warbrick...but if I'm trading a WFB in this week (other than Teddy) its going to be Walsh.

The real ballsy move would be to get Drinkwater next week instead but don't think I can do that.

Moses is a roller-coaster. Have played him a few times in the past. Have him again now. 70s followed by 30s. Seems a bit more up this year but has saved some of his scores late. Just be prepared 😝

I expected to have to sell Boyd this week, but getting a 40 with no kicking was actually encouraging. Shows he can get a 50 and almost scored a try on top of that.

Which is more important - a 5 round average of 15, or a 1 round average of 49?

I guess whatever happened last week is the new normal and can be expected to continue. Trade him in
