Is JDB a buy ? I'm struggling to see the appeal other than last eeeks goof score but what was the reason behind the good score ?

You must be crazy. If I heard my team was signing Wighton on that much - or at all - I'd be in shambles. The bloke is an above average centre, with no clue in the halves. Ask Sharks fans if they enjoyed signing Dugan on 800k a year to come play centre at the end of his career...

Surely other people literally joke about the fact Wighton is a Dally M winner? right? or is that just me.

I think at that money it's not a great signing but also feel like Wighton is reaching that "so many people saying he's overrated he's now underrated" level. Which will intensify if people also reckon he's now overpaid.

Yeah he's a bit of a big fish in a small pond. IMO he's also a very good centre (easy top 10) and a perfectly fine running half (not a team organiser, but that's ok). A long way ahead of average centre and clueless half I think. Won a Dally M. Key part of a fairly average and under-resourced side making a GF and nearly winning on his back. Deserves his Origin jerseys.

Just on Wighton I think its just talk, Souths dont need him what they do need is all hands on deck which is just not happening this year sadly, was so looking forward to tonights game but without Junior and KK think we will struggle.

What order would you put these guys this week?

    Alamoti, IKatoa, Niko, Warbrick

    Currently that is alphabetical.

Too many options, love playing Indoor on a Thursday night though so I`m forced to make a early desicion- Too bad it will be the wrong one.

I feel you brother, indoor on a Thursday night and Sunday afternoon so constantly missing last minute team updates.

Those options feel like a total guess as they should all hit around 30. Katoa probably the safest 30 floor while Warbrick probs has the highest ceiling.

    Lets play

WHO WANTS TO BE A FANTASY MILLIONAIRE

Someone else scored similar last week after a quiet start to 2023
Also hasn't been fantasy relevent since 2017, has been arrested too and also has a great bye schedule
Even cheaper at 464k and definitely what you would call sub gun in his position. Also a POD at 0.62% ownership

With Jake Averillo injured, do we just take the punt on this young Bulldog center Skelton and assume he gets the spot? Seems to be a bit of wraps on him, just a shame I need to make a decision tonight and can't wait till an hour before kickoff.

Well he's named for this week but Bulldogs forums seem to think he might be a late scratch (not based on anything concrete).

Gus tweeted the following 4 days ago:
    Jake Averillo
Left knee prepatellar bursitis and partial tear.
Clashed knees late first half. Continued with pain. Injected at half time and pain improved. Returned to the field. Off feet for 4 days. Risk of reinjury during season as tendon is definitely part of the problem.

Dugan, an injury prone player who had a reputation for being the NRL tampon, being signed for another club 5 years ago for the same money, which is worth far less now as a % of salary cap...makes this a bad signing? Not following here

Wighton isn't playing half so his current form there is irrelevant - he'd be centre, 14, or 2nd row at a stretch. I'm definitely not in shambles about Wighton and Johnston paired on the left being fed by Walker and Latrell

Do south’s fan worry about a latrell cody Jack wighton friendship being overpowering in the dressing room,

They all have had their dramas both on and off the field
