Congrats though, that's not a bad place to be sitting assuming you don't have too many injuries to deal with. Hopefully Whitehead gets a Hatty towelling up your mob this week and I can start the long road to catching up

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 13
I was 200 points behind this afternoon against my draft opponent.
I had captain Teddy, Taupau and Walker to play. He had Cherry. Odds were about 30/1 against me.
I ended up winning by 100. Ridiculous.
Taupau is a must if he's playing 80 on that edge. He looks unstoppable running at those smaller guys. Only good move of Barrett's coaching career so far aside from bringing Lawrence back into the 17. He was immense!!!!

I know it's only been 2 rounds, but thoughts on DCE?

Score 858
Rank 81
Looking to trade Grant or Lueluai out for Lawrence and Green out for Scott since he is DPP.
Then next week whomever I didn't trade out of Grant or Lueluai for Mannering. I would have started the year with Mannering but I thought his minutes would be reduced along with workload

He scored a 50 with no attacking stats last week, you can afford to give him a few more rounds. Manly are terrible right now but DCE is a proven gun, he'll come good.

Hes averaging one point less than Ben Hunt and half a point more than Thurston. I wouldn't trade ether of those two out

I know its only a slim chance and will be a long way away but apparently LG might be back by the very end of year for the tits. Good for them.

719 & 18,434. Lucky captain Smith saved my score with Slater out (got Leuluia's 3) so I'll take that.
Just on the Tigers. Their trial game v Sharks they came out at a 100 miles per hour in that game & the Sharks got blown away in the 1st 30 & they finished strong too. They've started the season that way as well & I can see a lot of teams not being able to cope with the tempo they're playing at. I bet Marty Taupau is thinking why didn't the team play like that when I was there. I believe the main reason he went to Manly was to win a premiership.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 13
Okay seems like I'm playing early season catch-up right now but I've identified three trades I could make this week and want to know which two to make.
Benry to Holland. That one's a given
A Taylor to C Walker. I feel like this is one I could hold off on. Walker's exploding in price but Taylor is going steady, could be doing little more than chasing the fast money with this one.
Aloiai to B Lawrence. I won't have enough cash to go V Leuluai to Lawrence so I'd have to go with someone like Aloiai who will have made a little cash at least to make it easier to get Lawrence.

I don't have him - just raising a point.
All the talk about him getting 50 last week without any attacking stats - he was damn lucky that the dogs ran at him all night so he could rack up the tackles, and could have just as easily scored mid 30s (ie what he scored tonight).

Yes he dropped it, onto his leg which then went backwards.Honeysett wrote:
I'm happy for those to be ruled knock ons, he hasn't tried to pas it. He dropped it cold and it may or may not have gone backwards. I reckon just call them a knock on instead of rewarding shit play because the ball manages to fall a certain way.
Ref should've sent it upstairs and it would've been a try.
Pity Tooves isn't still in charge, would've been an interesting press conference.

True that. I picked him up because I was expecting 25 points a week off kick metres alone so I'm not quite getting that but really there's not much I can do. I'm chasing down cash cows and deciding how much longer I can afford to run with Merrin and/or Woods so I can't be thinking about sideways trading DCE as well. He's a concern but not the stand-out one at the moment.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 13
Are there any WFBs (other than Tedesco & Inglis) that are worth having? Only reason I'm sticking with Gordon is cause I can't see many other options.

Munster will go good now he's back at f/b.
Mitchell will also shine as well.
