WWII is a particular interest of mine. On my honeymoon in 2006 in Thailand, our suite included a library of DVDs (look it up young folk). One peaked my interest, Ike: Countdown to Dday, and I had just finished reading Steve Ambrose's book on the subject. Don't be put off by Tom Selleck playing Eisenhower, he's really good.

Have walked sections of the Thai burma railway, including hell fire pass. My grandad was a POW at changi then Japan. Was a great trip. Such a fucked up experience for them

Will soon catch up on last 30 pages I had a late one at work. I’m just having some Milo ice cream.

I didn’t see much footy tonight but my fear is someone will get seriously injured on that turf it’s fucked so bad.

"We shall never see their like again" Quote from the movie. And it's true. Real heroes. (The movie is about the European theatre, but the same applies)

If I didn't have kids, I would never have seen any Marvel movies. Too busy, too long.

Try The Railway Man. They made a film of it, but the book's better. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Railway_Man_(book)

Thanks for tip, I havent read much lately but will give it a go.

For those with spare time and the interest, here is a great (biased opinion) oral history of life as a pow under Japanese.

(Biased or not), agreed it's a great account. I've listened to the first half and I am captivated. Will do the rest tomorrow.

There has been far too much peaked interest lately and not enough piqued interest.

Shawshank is amazing. Haven’t seen any marvel, DC or Harry Potter movies. Haven’t seen game of thrones.

    My team sucks.

    Thanks for listening.

Of these 4, who outright starts, 2 to loop and one in EMG

    Nikorima, IKatoa, Bula, Host

I currently have it in that order. Bula will definitely be one of the loops

If you feel your team gets rorted in 1 game, then you probably had a bad ref.

If you feel your team gets rorted in every game, the perhaps its not the refs who are the problem.

Perhaps I'm a crazy man, but if Bula can score well against the Panthers in the wet, surely he'll be playable against the Dragons
    (Zac Cini incoming)

I'd also double check Dolphins final team incase Milf doe something annoying - but I'd also be tempted to play Katoa over KNik just in case he ends up doing some half-bench-hooker rotation

I think I'd play Katoa and loop KNik and Bula with the expectation of it being Bula.

No interest in 90% of those genres.

I dont mind sci fi if its more thriller/horror esque.. not sure the terms tbh, like prometheus is decent.

    Superhero/comic book stuff no thanks.

There are exceptions eg the batman with heath ledger was good. Not something id ever watch twice though
