People who haven't watched any Marvel movies and/or Star Wars series, are you just obstinately avoiding them, or your TV is broken?

Well, as humans we all have varying tastes. Not sure why it's a surprise to some that some of us never have seen these movies.

I saw the first two Stars Wars movie as a kid and thought they were the most boring things I've ever seen. Never saw anything else and have no interest in any of the new ones. Sci Fi is just not my thing.

With Marvel, as a kid, X-Men was by far my fav cartoon. It was the coolest thing ever. I also was big into the whole marvel trading card thing. As an adult, I checked out the first couple of X-Men movies and they were fine but obviously didn't create the nostalgia I felt from when I was a kid.

I think from there it's been overblown with the amount of movies flooding the market. I did actually watch one of the Thor movies and I hated the amount of one liners almost trying to make it a family comedy. Not much interest in Spiderman/Batman but at least the X-Men ones keep some of the darker tones, especially when it comes to characters like Wolverine.

We all just like different things. I'm not a big movie guy anyway but I keep coming back to the classics from when I was a kid. Being a metal head, Bill and Ted were the best things ever. What a couple of excellent movies. Don't mind me a classic Adam Sandler movie too like Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison.

The most moving moment Ive ever had though was seeing Saving Private Ryan at the cinemas as a 14 year old. I've never felt as uncomfortable in my life watching that opening scene on the big screen. I almost had to leave. What a movie. I'll never forget that.

I currently have it in that order. Bula will definitely be one of the loops
    I’d start Bula.
Loop Host with Ikatoa, and put KNiko in EMG.

I read a decent article about this, about franchises dominating hollywood production these days. Its the world we live in now I guess.

In the golden age of New Hollywood, creators were given huge sums to take big risks, and it paid off. But movies have come under the control of hedge funds that specialize in risk management. The result: boring, predictable cinema.

Anyone else bringing Tatola in this week or waiting one more week?

Or is Luki the one people are leaning to?

At the moment my option is to play Knik or Ikatoa at #17, or trade one of them to Luki (or someone else, with 165k bank). How Milford fits into the puzzle really clouds the direction here..

Its all a bit dire in that price range, Luki seems a decent buy if he stays on the park for decent minutes. I might be better off flipping a coin on Ikat/Knik and seeing how things look next week.

Yeah it’s not an ideal situation. KNiks only made 60k so would be a fail if he had to go this week especially when if his role stayed the same could definitely get to the 100k mark with ease.

Seems like I'm the only one that has traded in Campbell over Bula. Terrible NRL player but scores fantasy points in bunches

No coincidence that the Raiders are 4-0 this year when starting the best player in the NRL

I picked up Bula last week, but taking a look at Talau before pulling the trigger on Campbell or Drinkwater. I think Drink's a pretty safe bet with the bye advantage and JS, but Campbell a bit cheaper and could score around the same as Drink in 5 games vs 6 unless the latter hits a purple patch at the right time.

I think I’m a gun or two shy so need to put some money away in the old piggy bank.

I’m not entirely convinced by playing Bula but hopefully he can put up a 30 and we can move on next week

Unless Walker returns, Hutchinson may have a extended run at ctr.

    Fwiw
I'm playing Bula in my 17 for Miller
KNik & Granville in the loop... IKatoa on the outer
I don't see why Bennett would drop Nikorima after last week's performance, but playing the Sharks isn't ideal and I can see Niko being used as a turnstile.

Campbell is $170k more than Bula. Bula seems low risk, high reward, with reasonable job security. Campbell will be back to the bench in a few weeks time.

There are very few really good cash cows in the game at the moment, Bula looks to be the best available by a mile.

Trying to work out if you are referring to Croker or Horse, my guess is you are being deliberately ambiguous and looking for a reaction.

In the first couple of games Talau played, it was an infuriating watch (even before the injury). He kept deliberately trying to put big hits on, and didn't give a shit that he was bouncing straight back out for a missed tackle. Its only a fantasy issue, not a game issue, but not what you want stinking up your fantasy team, where the guy is deliberately getting -2s all the time.

Te Whare is worth a watch this week, if he plays well and holds the spot when Brenko is fit, he averaged 45 last season, really fun to watch. Also keep an eye on Kini if he gets his chance at fullback this week. The kid is really special, reminds me of Walsh.

Yeah Talau was mud those early games. He's looked alright coming off the bench last 2, so I'm hoping for three weeks of 30s and maybe holds a starting spot if someone's injured. I traded him in on the bye round to afford Hynes, so he could save me this week and next with Miller and Lemuelu's byes.

Te Whare definitely on the radar as a Rd 13 number and cashout.

I'm leaning back to Drinkwater this week if Talau sucks (kinda expected). Playing both 13 and 16 probably means he's worth the extra cash over Campbell.

I went Luki over Tatola with a vision to trade in Tatola next week. Priced at 35, I just don't see much downside to Luki as a hold until at least after R13 (ignoring injury risk). Someone mentioned that mids score worse against the Storm because of Storm's lateral movement a couple years ago and I've found it generally to hold true. Would be cool if one of the stats nerds had data available to see if this is statistically the case. In any case, I've kept Murray for some reason.

The only downside I could find to Luki is he’s mostly expendable for me in the major byes

Have Frizell and Host for R13 (so maybe 10-15 extra from Luki on Host) and largely expendable in R16 with Frizell/Preston/Hosking/Loiero/Bateman/Eels EDG/Wilton all available R16 (who are options in a variety of squads)
