I'm also biased because I made my 1st XV rugby debut against him in high school when he was the year above me and he absolutely shitmixed a 16 year old Lchy for two tries in the 20 minutes I was on the field. So by trading him in it gives me a chance to tell this story as much as possible and abuse my 15 minutes of fame

Now this is a legitimate and well thought out reason to trade in Billy Smith cheer

Never seen a full episode. I certainly am uncultured, but lack of Simpsons viewings probably isn’t the main issue.

Not the main issue (poodle-focused bestiality takes that gong), but no-Simpsons is definitely top 3.

Seems a few have Oloapu already, is that just with an expectation that he’ll start soon enough?

What would you do with this team?

    Team before trades:

If it were me, I'd be more concerned about the upcoming byes than about playing a weekened 17 this week.

You have 5 very likely Origin players: Cook, Haas, Fifita, Cleary, Teddy
2 players that are well in the mix for Origin: Hynes, Walsh, Hammer (marginal)
A further 4 or 5 players that miss R13: Cheese, Hosking, Manu, Bula, (probably Russell too)

It would concern me with 18 trades to have just Bird, Miller and SJ as strong R13 selections, Ford you're looking to bye-sideways trade to Horse, Sloan reverts to another non-R13. I guess you could just take the hit, but think you're looking at haemorrhaging a few hundred points as things stand.

I'd do something that not many would and trade out Hynes; shift SJ to half, and try and make my team a bit more well-rounded.
Maybe grab a bottoming gun (Tapine etc?) and see if I can't strengthen my bench at the same time (maybe it's enought to push Soni to a $600-$700k bye-friendly potential gun, Brown, Hopgood etc?)

Like I say, my style doesn't probably fit most players, but maybe worth a look at?

I got him so I could be rid of HSS, with the hope he would be a late start.

IMO the issue is that you're chasing Horse when you're not really in a position to do so without forcing a low-percentage enabling trade.
Horsburgh is priced at about 49 now, maybe better to let that ship sail off into the night and watch out for what TLT throws up?
its like chasing the 10 on a night out, not getting her then ending up with your dick in your hand at the end of the night.

The heck, they are only 20 mins long (There's even a movie which was fairly decent)

I thought MF had the worst viewing habits possible after the other night but this takes the cake.
To not see a single episode you must have a reason or are you just cutting off your nose to spite your face at this point?

Good time to go off topic posting about the best player we have played with/against

Played with Isabelle Kelly's brother in under 19s. He was comfortably the best player on the field every week in the Rhys Martin mould. Peaked as a NSW cup/9's player

Played against Zane Tetevano in local league rugby back in 2016. Bastards played him at outside centre while I was on the wing. Reckon I missed atleast 8 tackles just on him in a 100+ point loss. Was a monster anchoring the boat race at the pub after as well

Yeah I just grabbed him because he was cheap, and gut feel that he will start at 6 within a couple of weeks.

Don't think subbing on a 6 after 25 mins is a long term solution. Of course it could go the other way and he just goes back to ressies haha.

    Grabbing him this week.

I think he starts sooner rather than later and I like what I've seen on the eye test. Once starting I think he is a 35-40 point guy in a season severely lacking cash cows

On the eye test he looks better than other rookie halves like IKat and Amone

If he goes on IKat’s trajectory with low 30s to 40 then he’ll be great, just a matter of when he starts

Plays R16 which seems void of quality halves so prob bring him in before then

Guess we have to give AL a permanent ban then.

Are we going back to captaining Cleary over Hynes again? Feels a bit like chasing points, but 96 with a ton of MTs and kicking again sounds pretty good to me. OTOH maybe Hynes guns it after the criticism over the last few days?

Selling Hynes the week after I just bought him is probably the stupidest possible trade I could possibly think of. Surely you aren't serious about that?

I would much rather get rid of Sloan (who could very easily lose all the money he's made by R13 and then score another 10 points in R13) for a non-R13 player (Oloapu) and allow Ford to Horse (or Hopgood or JDB in fact).

Quality matters more than quantity and realistically I can only get one more good player that plays R13 - it's either Horse, Hopgood or JDB.

I do not have enough trades left to be selling genuine guns like Hynes, Cleary, Fifita etc. - Cook I would consider but he's too cheap to get anyone good for and I would then be forced to play Cheese as my only hooker
