    Suaalii pretty overrated tbh

Potential obviously huge and he’s great for 19, but hasn’t translated yet into warranting all these wraps and accolades.

Good on him for leveraging being exceptional at private school rugby and Harry Matts junior rep RL into millions of dollars though. I expect after 2027 WC he’ll go to France or Japan and make several million more.

But yeah he’s got some work to do and shouldn’t be near rep team conversations IMO

Penisini is already twice the player

Have to laugh at Hodgson having a high score of 21 in the past 6 weeks and down 230k this year to 302k

Average of 15.5 in the last 6 weeks for a mostly 50 min HOK is horrendous

I’m kinda thinking about him as a playing cashout down the track lol!

Its okay guys, I recognise the nuanced ramblings of a man born specifically between 1982 and 1990 who emotes almost entirely using Simpsons quotes, its a very specific niche and you should always try your best to reciprocate so they feel valued.

Cause when you reach over and put your hand into a pile of goo that used to be your best friends face, you’ll know what to do! Forget it, Cow! Its Chinatown!

@Pookus McFly if you think I could have been born as late as 1990 (and been 3 years old when the episode first aired), you're alright by me

Is Hammer to Drinkwater too sideways to be worth it?

    Pros:

    * Drinkwater is effectively no risk of Origin unlike Hammer
    * Drinkwater is up against the bottom 2 teams in the next 2 weeks, while Hammer has a bye and then the Storm who have kept fullbacks very quiet this year
    * The Cowboys seem to have turned a corner, but even in their thrashing against the Sharks he got 41 points somehow
    * Means I don't have to loop Soni and Oloapu for the last spot this week

    Cons:
    * Costs a trade (would have 15 left if I get him)
    * Hammer has CTR dual which is very valuable
    * I'm probably stuck with Drinky to the end if I buy him now, most likely won't have enough trades left to get rid of him until the extra 8 get added in R20, if at all.

The question is, who else is there? Soni Luke will bleed money quickly with that 8 in his rolling average, and I'm already planning to sell Russell to Te Whare next week so he's not an option for cashout.

IMO the issue is that you're chasing Horse when you're not really in a position to do so without forcing a low-percentage enabling trade.
Horsburgh is priced at about 49 now, maybe better to let that ship sail off into the night and watch out for what TLT throws up?

I like Drinky as a trade in but not at Hammer’s expense

Niko to VTW this week allows HTF to Timoko who I really want. Won’t be fielding 17 if I don’t trade in a WFB or CTR and I think Timoko is a keeper. Risky if VTW isn’t named next week but I feel like that is inevitable? I have too many halves and this would shore up my round 13 team and I would be hoping to keep VTW as my 18-21 wfb/ctr cover for as long as he plays

    Stupid?

Honestly at a certain point does he get too cheap to ignore?

That point at the moment presumably being about 150k.

What would you do with this team? I'm definitely selling Sloan to Oloapu, and if I only do that trade and Ford doesn't play, then I'm playing both Soni and Oloapu just to field 17 this week

    Team before trades:

True, fixtures don’t mean anything but they do help sometimes

More so Drinky looks to have turned his personal form around L3 Ave 49, and Cowboys off a confidence boosting win

Possibly in the minority but I don't hate a Billy Smith trade in, thought he looked better on the left than Suaalii has all year.

I'm also biased because I made my 1st XV rugby debut against him in high school when he was the year above me and he absolutely shitmixed a 16 year old Lchy for two tries in the 20 minutes I was on the field. So by trading him in it gives me a chance to tell this story as much as possible and abuse my 15 minutes of fame
