1. Single trade: Ford to someone under $580k (Brooks, Luki) (when Brooks is a leading contender there has to be some big question marks over this)
2. Double trade: Ford & Sloan to Oloapu/VTW & Horse/Young/Tohu
Not worth saving a trade if it means trading in someone that I don't really want, while weakening my scoring 17 and likely having to trade said player back out at some point in the not so distant future.

Latrell will miss Round 13, 16, 19, 20 and 26 at the very least and probably a few more at some stage for doing something stupid and getting suspended. He may also get rested after an origin game. That is a about 1/3 of the rest of the season
Also he has had quite a good run already. He is bound to drop in price. Cash out and spend it on a GUN MID or HOK

Random question, prompted by something I've seen twice this week.
Which is the better move?
Someone with 19 trades left trading Ford to Hopgood this week
Someone with 19 trades left trading Ford to Hopgood this week (but they have previously traded Hopgood out in the past)

Good question. I saw Beth's post too and it bugged me. Not least because she's recently qualified as an economist and should know damn better.
The situations are perfectly identical.

The EDG/MID dual position is more valuable than I realised, so I don't see an issue with getting Hopgood back in, especially with him playing all 3 major byes (assuming he doesn't get picked for origin)

Exactly. Need to look at trades logically and without emotion. Every week is a new week, forget about the past.
Disclaimer. I traded out Hopgood and then back in 4 weeks later. I only have 14 trades though....

I seem to be agreeing more and more with you Matt, it’s worrying
That being said EDG is stacked for R16 and MID is pretty difficult to fill

Thoughts??

I too am struggling to justify trading out Ford this close to Rd 13. Doing so just creates a tough hole for me to fill at Edge in a few weeks time.Bethany_B wrote:
I'm literally buying him back this week and I don't think it matters whether you sold or not. I did the same thing with Cheese, and plan to do it again with Haas over Origin
I'm not prepared to sell Hynes, even if I had not just bought him, that's not relevant and I shouldn't have mentioned it. I am selling Cook this week (his draw is too easy for him to rack up base and the attack isn't going through him so the easy draw is no good) and likely also Haas in round 13, which I think at least fits the concept of what easytiger's recommendation was.
I'm also trading Hammer instead of Ford because Ford is more useful to me in round 13 and 14, and it doesn't affect my team this week to hold Ford (if I held Hammer I would be in the same situation having to loop Soni and Oloapu, and I'm trading Russell next week so I won't have to do that next week)

Holding him does mean I likely have to play all 3 of Sele, Oloapu and Soni Luke this week which is far from ideal.
For what it’s worth, I think trading Cook is the right move.
