Random question, prompted by something I've seen twice this week.

    Which is the better move?

Someone with 19 trades left trading Ford to Hopgood this week

Someone with 19 trades left trading Ford to Hopgood this week (but they have previously traded Hopgood out in the past)

Did he go to NT with the rest of the squad?

Answering my own question, apparently not

Um is Angus Crichton a decent pickup for my h2h team? Has a good bye schedule, I know he's still got money to lose but at 666k and starting this week (cause E.Butch is out but overall it is Angus' spot to keep) but I need him this week with a few players out.

    Thoughts??

There’s always going to be unconscious bias for players you’ve previously been burnt by

Happy I jumped back early on Smith but not sure I’ll be able to go to Cotter again after copping his career low starter score

Zac Lomax named for the dragons cup team. He would be a first starter in so many clubs

Leaning B. At least that person started with Hopgood.. and could be me except I'm starting with 18 trades this week and would need to use 1 before going Ford to Hopgood.

Still has a fair bit of cash lose you would think. I always thought that one week soon Ebutcher and Angus would swap on game day.

Really wanted to only do a single trade this week but think I'll have to double trade.

    1. Single trade: Ford to someone under $580k (Brooks, Luki)  (when Brooks is a leading contender there has to be some big question marks over this)

    2. Double trade: Ford & Sloan  to  Oloapu/VTW  & Horse/Young/Tohu

Not worth saving a trade if it means trading in someone that I don't really want, while weakening my scoring 17 and likely having to trade said player back out at some point in the not so distant future.

Yeah agreed on the money to lose but I really need him this week with the dolphins' bye so I think it's a decent option

Good question. I saw Beth's post too and it bugged me. Not least because she's recently qualified as an economist and should know damn better.

    The situations are perfectly identical.

If Val Meninga is playing next week I am thinking of ditching Latrell to VTW

Latrell will miss Round 13, 16, 19, 20 and 26 at the very least and probably a few more at some stage for doing something stupid and getting suspended. He may also get rested after an origin game. That is a about 1/3 of the rest of the season

Also he has had quite a good run already. He is bound to drop in price. Cash out and spend it on a GUN MID or HOK

Su'A or Hopgood. That's the question. 100k difference. Would be for Ford... hard one.

I seem to be agreeing more and more with you Matt, it’s worrying Razz

That being said EDG is stacked for R16 and MID is pretty difficult to fill

    Identical.

It always feels weird, and I've rarely done it in the past. But this year I've traded IKatoa out and in again. Cleary out and in again. Smith out and in again. And I intend to trade Hopgood in again having traded him out.

Some of this is poor self control this year. Some is the new format with a bye every week. But some is just circumstances, and if the circumstances make a previously traded out player the best pick, then they are the best pick. Regardless of how we got there and how many trades you've made.
