I feel like I am going insane, there was obviously 2 players in that tackle from the start.

Completely correct,
For ones like that just report it, if it’s not clear dirty and intentional the sinbin is far too much
Has a huge outcome on matches

Was the softest of soft hipdrops, will only be a fine.
It was more of a hipdrop than Haas' one was earlier this year imo, but yeah probably just a fine.

If Carrigan gets suspended for 2 games, he misses round 12 and round 13, but would therefore be eligible for origin game 1 as that game is on the Wednesday following round 13?

Carrigan has the Hastings hip drop on his record so wonder if that’ll impact MRC

I would say Carrigan will be fine. Jackson Ford just got a fine for his and Carrigans wasn't worse than that.

Makes up for the 20-point swing with the TO/TS/SB earlier... he's certainly all-action today.

One might assume that there actually needs to be contact.
Also, NAS is a deadset cat.

It’s frustrating. I don’t think there’s been a more obvious case this season of a tackler slipping and losing their feet. Additional to that, it wasn’t even his torso/lower body that landed in the ball carrier. Was more in the rib area - granted I know that’s not a requirement for hip drops but all the serious ones you see are the lower body impacting the legs.syn13 wrote:I fucking can’t with this ‘hip drop’ shit, majority of it is momentum-based and nothing to do with any technique that will be eradicated binning players because they fell on the wrong part of a another players body

Yeah the Ford one came to mind for me as well, similar. No chance of 2 game suspension and will be a little surprised if its even 1.

Fine vs suspension typically has more to do with loading, if Carrigan is found guilty of an offence he will get time off.

Bottom line the NRL made a moral panic, over officiate it, over sanction it and now have a rod for their back
Sane with head highs the other year and crushers the other,
We just have to put up with it, completely avoidable

Not surprised to see him back on with no limp
