The ref on the field gets talked about a lot by disgruntled fans but for me it's always the bunker decisions that drive me nuts, they have the luxury of watching multiple replays in slow motion and still make some baffling calls. I can live with 99% of the calls the on-field ref makes as that's a whole lot harder.

Imo the refs responsibility lies in making sure the contentious calls are sent to the Bunker, it’s a fail for them if they dismiss incidents without a look.

If he doesn't fluke a 60 point score you've killed off a spot in your team with half the season to go

That sort of trade in is fine R20 if the downgrade allows a good upgrade to your starting 17

I worry a bunch of people are going to trade too hard through origin, have a bunch of middies clogging up their team and no real ability to upgrade to a decent final 17 without running our of trades by R22

I have to play one of Oloapu or Talau this week. Get excited. Was considering swapping IKat to Host, but I'd rather just take 15 less points.

Oloapu stands a better chance of reaching double figures

I dont think its wise to kill any spots unless its beyond round 22.

Its tough though because a cash out usually facilitates a gun. But this year is likely more difficult than usual with the weekly byes.

Its pretty unlikely that any cheap guys will pop up that will actually be worth having in the run home.

Unfortunately beggars cant be chooses and my 17-21 is currently Bula, Niko, Katoa, Alamoti, and Oloapu
