In 3 weeks time, that BE is gone, but the player is still in your team.

Now for Harrison Edwards in particular, if he's still starting lock in 3 week, then he's likely going to be a good buy whatever his BE is this week. But when people are starting to run out of trades, trading in someone for 3-4 weeks, knowing you'll have to trade them out again shortly after, just seems like a way to run out of  trades with a bunch of missies and bench players in your team

To be fair, I traded in APK mainly because of the BE. Since then, he's made 120K and I've had a couple of decent playable scores.

Good news if true, I thought the talk was missing 1-2 games. Edit: Just saw the casualty ward on NRL.com has him listed R14

Yeah pretty much, and I think Edwards is probably the number one WFB for the rest of the season (Latrell is just as good if not better but has two late byes which make him less appealing)

Likely surplus to requirements in R13 and unavailable R14

He's only surplus to requirements in R13 is you already have two centres *and* two edges. For me, as long as he keeps his place for a month, he'll play R13 and R16, hopefully will make a bit of cash, and the fact he's base price allows bank to go Miller to iPap in R14 even if Miller bleeds cash in the next fortnight. Not buying him because he's great, buying him because he should be useful.

Leaning towards making no trades this week and using them next week instead when there is more certainty.

Will have 4 trades available, know who has been named for Origin, injuries, suspensions etc.

Can make much better decisions then than now, and have a team that is scoring well as it is.

I’m tempted by an avatar bet that Host is better in R13 than Burbo

CTR should be covered by Bird and Lemeulu
EDG has Frizell if no Origin (granted I’m one of few that own on here), Hopgood (given MID depth), Host, Luki, Ford, Young if no Origin etc

I have 0 round 13 edges at the moment and I’ll still stay away from Burbo i think

I currently have zero edges for rd13 and Burbo is base price. Starting edge base price is hard not to like. I think just 4 weeks of him scoring 35 makes $150k? Rd14 numbers my only concern with it

He probably won't make much this week due to his true price being below 220k, so you can just wait a week and get a look at him.

Re Burbo. Some quick calcs (hope they're correct). Using a MN of 13.3

Look like his underlying price is a tad under $200k [I calculated $198k].
He BE (which gets his price back up to $220k) is around 40.

So, if he scores 30, his weekly prices increases in next 3 weeks are $0, $13k, $30k
So, if he scores 40, his weekly prices increases in next 3 weeks are $0, $41k, $49k

Ah right yes his BE is actually higher atm.

Milch said 25 though, not sure about 40 JM?

Will probably wait a week indeed then and then the timing might be right to come in for Niko (don't need him rd13).

Once, many years ago, I got called by Mitch Aubusson  Beating Heart  in person as part of a Roosters recruitment drive. I did ask him what position he'd play that year, and immediately felt bad about it
(think he just said "wherever coach plays me" or something similar)

I can't believe this happened to you and you're still a Tigers fan.

How unfair is life right? I got Anasta (Tigers [aka WISH] version) ffs Lol

People overthinking Burbo a little bit.
If you don’t need a CTR or edge fair enough but otherwise he’s a base price starter that covers two spots in a difficult bye round and allows you to get rid of a dead spot in your emergencies. Unless you’ve pissed away most of your trades, don’t need the cover or you have a 21 you are happy with he’s probably worth a go (pending final team lists). He is the classic bye round filler.

"The NRL has dropped referee Todd Smith and bunker official Gerard Sutton, who came under fire for a series of controversial calls in Melbourne's round-11 defeat of Brisbane."

Same nob end that did the Warriors match the week before

My mids are a mess this week. Tohu on the bye, Mcinnes injured leaves me with only Horsburgh and BMM Vomit

Current plan Hedwards, Luki and Tapine in for Hosking, Mcinnes and BMM

I wouldn't take that bet, but Host is 190k more than Burbo. If you have Host (and another 2rf plus Bird/Lemu) then, no, you probably don't need Burbo. For plenty of others, he'll be useful.

Getting Burbo & Luki this week (for Loiero & BMM) gives me 11 for R13. I'll pick up one of two more next week (Teddy and iKatoa potentially out) depending on a couple of factors. With 250k+ in the bank, trading Miller to iPap in R14 would give me 17/18 for that round (including Manu), although Origin non-back-ups could screw me up. Then I'd only need to make one more trade to get a full 13 for R16 - bringing in Burbo helps save a trade there too (assuming he's still playing). Been concentrating on setting up a 21 that minimises trades throughout the whole bye period rather than just R13, but looking at running

    Robson
    Hors JDB Hopgood
    Luki Lemuelu
    DBrown SJ
    Bird Burbo
    Miller Drinkwater ?

    (Cleary Haas Difita Preston
    Manu Cheese Oloapu Bula)

If Hopgood or Horsburgh make Origin, I'll have to make an extra trade to eg. Tohu. It's possible that one does, but I'll be surprised/pissed off if they both do

Yeah Hosking to Burbo this week means I turn Preston, Boyd and APK into SJ, Hop and Robson next week. Have to play him this week though. Edwards probably better in that regard.
