I was - weighing up Ofa vs Shaq vs Fainu. All 3 look good, have 1 MID spot available. Actually leaning towards Fainu at the moment, gives me the cash to do a single trade the following week - Katoa > Teddy.

Can still bring in Ofa after the round 14 bye if getting the expected role / minutes.

Is Shaq likely to play a decent role when Rabbitohs are full strength?

Hey all, been working on a community-driven 'match notes' section for the website today.

If you load up any match, beside the interchange timeline there is a 'match notes' section.

The general idea is that anyone can add a note/comment, eg X player went down injured and this is why Y player got bigger minutes, or there was a position swap at kick off eg whitehead named at lock but actually played edge, etc.

There is the option to tag the relevant players and add a 'type' ie what it relates to.

Its reasonably primitive at the moment. Any new notes get added as 'pending', you can still see any pending notes by clicking on the button. Once I approve them they just get shown as normal.

The aim is to build this out a bit so that when you are looking at a players profile, it will add this info next to the relevant game (this is where the tagging comes in) so you can see at a glance WHY a player only got 20 mins that week/whatever.

Will see how it goes I guess... Might be fun/useful to chuck in notes as relevant events happen while watching live games/etc.

I just put one on (for Fainu and Burbo) to test the feature out

Just wondering if anyone saw a way I could get a 12th guy on the field. Because I wasn’t really seeing a way.

    Miller to Drinky and
    Cheese to Moses

Leaves me with 13 trades and…..

    Robson
    Tatola Horse De Belin
    Hopgood
    SJ Moses
    Lemu Bird
    Drinky AJ

Preston, Manu, Cleary, Haas, Teddy, Boyd, Loiero, I Katoa, Bula and Burbo

Is that 11 strong enough to not drop too many ranks?

Trade Loiero to a bye-friendly edge - he will miss 13 and 19 and seems likely to have reached his peak now anyway?
I'm not sure what cash you have, but even Carty for example might make you some money (probably somewhere in the $50-100k) and seems good for 45+ points most weeks, with Lane not back to R20.
There may be someone better you can go to even...

I'm holding Matto at the minute (hoping for something more concrete), but IF he's expected back for R15 then I think it's a fair hold (largely as he potentially plays 16, 17, 19 and 20).
I do have less trades than you though, so maybe Matto->Hopgood is a consideration

Boyd -> Cook/Robson/JMK (I'd probably do the Cook gamble - best floor, best ceiling)
Loiero -> Drinkwater/Garrick (whoever you prefer) or Hopgood if you keep Matto (and can make the numbers work)

Miller -> Ponga (or DW/Garrick) - starting to feel a bit more like a luxury trade, but helps prevent Miller losing bulk cash IF the bench role is his future...

Not 13, but if you get 11 or 12 decent scorers and put yourself in a better position, then I think that's a win

I'd also chuck Cleary up into your 13 and have a look at Niko's score (say at pos 17) before elevating Crossland ahead of him

Cook leaves a hole at HOK in rd16 for Welshy here tho

What the fuck I just realised only two of my four halves playing this week will will only count towards my score.

Have I been living under a rock - When did that change?

Have to choose between Johnson, Katoa, Crossland & Niko.

    Shambles at the moment.

Thank you all very kindly for the input, was hoping someone could magic up something I had missed but the reality is I'll be playing down a man or 2 this round. Really not keen on iller lising a heap of cash and will be one of the tradeouts to avoid this.

Suppose I could hold a Miller - Ponga trade until game day to see if he suits up elsewhere or even gets dropped completey and becomes a trade the next week without the cash loss

Thank you all again, really appreciate it

I’m in the same boat of having no useful WFBs pre trades

I don’t think it’s worth trying to get 3 WFBs when you already have Bula, Teddy (I have Manu/Bula/Walsh/Miller)

Totally agree, if you can get a strong 10 in the more consistent higher scoring positions, then you're in a good spot.
It's a nice bonus to have some decent WFB's, but the reality if they put up 20 pointers, are they worth the trade (hence why I think going after 1 or 2 is okay, I wouldn't break my team to get 3)

People trading loiero, I’m holding firm for the fact he’s a locked 45+ scorer for rounds 14-19 and an easy trade up when the opportunity comes.

Non Hosking and Hopgood owner here however.

Sounds like a great idea. Bit of a footystats-wikipedia vibe.

It would be especially great in the mythical "secret stats" section

Shitposting also welcome but may stay as 'pending' lol! (actually maybe needs a tag of its own)

Do we have any certainty whether the position loops will work

Given I’m contemplating Frizell to Moses or another EDG I could see Nikorima’s score before deciding but not that confident in the interpretation of the starting 13 vs having a loop in INT/EMG

See what news comes out the next few days. Will trade Haas instead for reasons others have posted
