See what news comes out the next few days. Will trade Haas instead for reasons others have posted

Yeh bro HAAS out for me too. A few byes and backing up will make him hard to hold for the next 5/6 rounds and hopefully whilst doing so plummets some cash.

Risk; but a good one I hope

Cook leaves a hole at HOK in rd16 for Welshy here tho

It is a riskier play from that regard (and still an Origin possibility for R19), but he could defer R16's problem till then (Garlick etc).
Robson is still the most bye-friendly, just hard to see him making money (or as many points) at the moment.

I would think loops work if you have an empty spot in the starting 13

Note: In 2023 the interchange players scores will NOT count toward your team’s total for the designated Bye Rounds (13, 16 & 19), unless they are utilised as part of the auto emergency adjustments for these rounds.

I'm happy to go Cook and deal with 16 as and when, so will much will happen between now and then It's not worth me stressing over

Someone posted turnarounds of 3, 4 and 3 days after origins? Can’t see him doing a lot at club land

Yeah and even when he did back up last year (1/2 games and on a 3 day turnaround), he only played 30 minutes.

I'm only holding this week because I'm trading Miller first and then trading Haas to Edwards next week.

Might just be me but in dark mode, notes background is almost as white as the text so notes are hard to read.

Reed is also dropping value quickly, could be a good trade down from Boyd for the backup HOK spot that plays 16 and 19

It does say that they will:

During the Bye Rounds only the individual scores of 13 players (on the field) will make up your total score for the round.
Any player on your Reserves Bench will score points if they play (and their price will move at the end of the round) and only contribute to your round score if an auto-substitution is applicable.

I would not say that we have certainty that they will actually work, but they are meant to...

Awkward spot for Kevvy, will want to play Haas, Carrigan and Flegler - 30 minutes each?

mickspicks wrote:I keep looking at that Blues squad and am really scratching my head as to how they are going to use the bench.

    I'm thinking Haas plays 60.

    TPJ 2 x 15 min psycho stints.

Almost expect Martin to start over Hudson Young, with Young playing about 25mins in his sporadic style.

As for Hynes... comes in at half and Luai to 9? Weird.

Historically Freddie has been terrible at using his bench

    Not Freddie but my thoughts

The pack picked signals the intention to play mobile through the middle. Think we will see lots of change of direction with wide players coming back through the middle early to test the middles.

    Haas - Plays 50 in 2x stints.
Koroisau - Plays 80 or close to. Spelled by Murray if needed
TPJ - Plays 1 stint of 20 and doesn't come back
Young - Plays about 50 in one stint doesn't come back
Frizell - Plays about 50 in two stints
Yeo - Plays 80 or close to

Hynes - Comes on for one of the edges and roves
Murray - Comes on for TPJ and plays out the game
Martin - Takes minutes off the other edge + whatever Hynes doesn't get
Paulo - Splits time with Haas, gets about 30 minutes

    Pack to finish the game
    Haas
    Koroisau
    Murray
    Martin
    Frizell
    Yeo

If Blues are in trouble early and need points Hynes will play a lot more minutes than I anticipate

You do realise that in doing this, you're going to make even more work for Butters to do to keep up.
He's probably going to have to stretch to working 70-hour weeks now.

Do we think there's any chance of a half decent cheapie under 300k next week?

I'm considering selling Haas to Tohu (on top of Cheese and Miller to JDB and Ponga) and that would leave me 209k.

This then means that in order to afford Russell and Ikat to D Edwards, I would need to also buy a cheapie for 256k or less (plus or minus any price changes for Russell and IKat this week)

Of course if Miller gets pulled out of the Knights team late in the round (they play last), this doesn't matter as I would just reverse the Ponga trade and trade Miller himself to Edwards next week.

They’re pretty safe in the 8… with the short turnaround for r14, he may just rest the big 2 guns
