I've got both Ford and Hosking. Don't see myself trading until given a reason to do so. Hosking a keeper for now (especially over origin with Martin out/reduced minutes), and Ford has (in my opinion) had above average demerit games which is very unlikely to continue in the extreme.

Yeah the games with high MTs are killer for Ford. He could be a keeper if he got those down some, he’s both frustrating and exhilarating to watch. I’m going to hold Hosking too. Who needs Tohu anyway >_> <_<

I have my eyes on iPap and Nikora also, but the Sharks/Tigers/Bulldogs bye in R15 makes it tricky. Loeiro is still one of my starting team regrets, he’s so solid and still getting better. I thought I should choose him or E.Kat- probably should have picked both though.

    Ford and Hosking here.
Hosking should continue to get minutes at least during Origin.
Ford has definitely got some negatives in him, but his DPP and bye schedule are very useful.

Rd 15 is just Cowboys on the bye. Rd 17 is the trio's bye if that changes anything.

I looked at my 4th trade being Talau to Ford instead of Ponga, since I need an EDG next week, but 6k short. Would probably do it otherwise.

I realised I can upgrade IKat to Nikora/IPap/Bateman next week with the cash instead, so I'm gonna hold off on Ponga until Rd 15.

Just bringing in Hopgood, Harris and Cook for Young, Carrigan and Miller now. Playing with 10 and 10 trades left. Hopefully just the 1 next week and only Hopgood on the bye.

It must sting to trade out Carrigan, but you just can’t keep too many origin players. I have Cleary, Hynes and Fifita, so with Teddy killing it I am suddenly toying with trading out the top hooker Harry Grant Embarassed

With the Sharks/Tigers bye in R17 I'm thinking Loiero to one of them in R18. Loiero can play R16

Its a quality vs quantity decision

Loeiro getting 4 games of low 40s, or premium getting 3 games of 50+
Will probably try to just time it best for cash purposes and go from there

Thanks for the correct, total brainfart. Unfortunately it doesn't help, it was the bye after the round you want them for (R16) that was bothering me. A R15 bye actually would have made them more attractive as R16 pickups! Laugh 3

Do you think Hosking is a keeper Chucky? Or just in camp Wait and See?

Young hurts the most Sad But yeah would like to hold Carrigan too. Currently holding Cleary, Hynes, Grant, Haas and Teddy, so I think I have to pull the trigger on Young and Carrigan.

If Grant hadn't shed so much cash in the last month, I might've thought about it. Hoping Hunt spells him for a bit and isn't an issue backing up.

Actually Grant is bench. Hopefully Hunt has a blinder and can't be subbed.. at least until the 60th min Very Happy

With this weeks trades - assuming origin 3 teams are the same as origin 1, and everyone stays fit and healthy I actually have 15 players available in round 19

How many will I have when R19 actually comes around

He’s not in the top tier but probably in the next level.
Unless Fifita shits the bed sometime soon I won’t be able to afford both him and Hynes so will have to make sacrifices somewhere.
If I keep Hosking all the way through it may not be a bad thing.

    21.9 by current trajectory

not a bad call, especially if you need a WFB for round 14 too. But I like Ponga's much higher ceiling for a lower price...

Yeah, I don't have a tracker but do talk through my trade ideas on here.

Think I'm gonna max trade this week, including Haas. Hard to keep four Origin players through the bye. Was going to flip Ted before last week, but now doing Haas makes more sense.

    Cheese/iKatoa/Miller/Haas to Ponga/Drinkwater/Tatola/Ford

Would have 610k(!) in the bank and ten trades to go Burbo to Cook next week, then run Cook/Robson through the byes/season. Technically, set up to get through the bye period fielding 12 in the big byes and 18 in the small byes using only four trades with six spares, but that's not going to happen... gives a bit of a cushion for injuries though.

    R13

    Robson
    JDB Hors Tatola
    Hopgood Ford
    SJ DBrown
    Bird Lemu
    Ponga Drinkwater x

    R14 (probable)

    Cook
    JDB Hors Tatola
    Difita iPap
    Cleary SJ
    Bird Lemu
    Ted Drinkwater Bula

    Robson Preston Ford Manu
    Oloapu (Hopgood DBrown Ponga)

$610k seems like a potential risk/waste, even in a bye round. I know you’ve looked at the options but is it worth downgrading someone other than Haas? Or upgrading to a better mid (eg AFB, Tapine, Harris) than Tatola? Or a better CTR or EDG than Ford?

I've gone Grant to Cook without much thought at all. Initial thoughts were to hold as he'll back up more often than not but now Cook is available and other options available for round 16, he can go.
