Think I’m going JdB over Harris now. And captaining. Selling Haas to do so, as have too many Origin players. May regret.

Yeah I think I'm commited on the Haas trade. I think trying to navigate the byes this year will be tricky enough and I want the strongest possible players over this period that aren't Origin players. The number of Origin players you hold vs not holding could become crucial.

Was thinking JDB captain too but leaning Hopgood.

$610k seems like a potential risk/waste, even in a bye round. I know you’ve looked at the options but is it worth downgrading someone other than Haas? Or upgrading to a better mid (eg AFB, Tapine, Harris) than Tatola? Or a better CTR or EDG than Ford?

Is 610k in the bank more of a waste than having an 880k player on the bench? It doesn't really make a difference imo. 500k of it is earmarked to upgrade Burbo to Cook anyway, so most of my money will be in on the park other than for this one week.

Agree with that, but you do have the option of either getting a better scorer than Tatola or Ford this week. Or hold Haas and wait and see who might be the best trade out option next week after Origin.

Jeez, didn't realise Broncos were playing away. Warriors should do a number on these Broncos if they are serious.

Perfectly balanced as all things should be (except probably your total trades at the start of the bye period)

I've gone Grant to Cook without much thought at all.  Initial thoughts were to hold as he'll back up more often than not but now Cook is available and other options available for round 16, he can go.

Having Grant and Cook feels like HK and INT 1 is sorted though. Boyd hanging around as a back-up half for now. None cover Rd 16, but was prepared to play a HK down this week until Cook emerged, so just delaying the 0 there. I'm down to 10 trades and 1 more locked in next week, so don't think I can fuck about with trading Haas or Grant. Hynes is probably gonna have to go Rd 16 too and a plan to get him back.

I dunno, Tohu doesn’t really strike me as the kind of guy who will suddenly find another gear because of this. He plays hard anyway.

My initial thought as well was that I'm going to be down to 10 or 11 trades after this week and so I don't think I have the luxury of trading Haas. But the more I think about it the more it makes sense. Has to be a good chance he gets one resting, so looking at missing 4 of the next 8 games. With trades dwindling if there are any short-term injuries during this period I would just be holding those players so playing depth becomes important, having Haas sitting there half the weeks as a red dot is going to be a big weakness and potentially force me into other trades anyway.

Think I'm going to join the Haas out club.

Decided to go Cotter out instead of Haas, will just hold Haas all year. Getting Tohu in instead of JDB, because fuck that guy, I'm riding the anti-JDB train with MTB

Not gunna win the comp anyway, so may as well pick blokes I like and respect!

McLean park recently had a major upgrade to improve its drainage. Its been sunny there all week and forcast for sun 19deg on Saturday. Perfect conditions to make 50 tackles

I just know out of Tohu, SJ, Cook and Hopgood, whoever I pick as C will score the least.

Will advise an hour before kickoff Thurs who I have gone with so you can all go differently

If I got in Tohu, I wouldn't be able to get Cook in next week, and that takes priority in my situation, where I only have one hooker and he has a bye in Round 15. Will be different for other people.

Tatola can bang out 40-50s and make some money and that's pretty much all I want. Lolo would also work, but not sure what state he'll come back in, or even if he's definitely back  As for Ford... if there were better edge options under 600k then I'd be all ears, but it's him or Carty, his byes suit me better, and he's DPP.

Looking at running this squad from R14, with not much surgery needed to get good R16 and R19 numbers (obv they're not all playing on any given week, but like the look of it this way)
