I know we aren't supposed to trade guns but Macca has K-Nik stealing his minutes & Merrin is just not making any tackles & is underperforming.

Macca out - Tedesco in (via J-Nik, Feeney)
    Merrin out - Taupau in

Thoughts on these risky sideways trades that could be gold or backfire.

He's too fat & lacks the stamina to play 80.

He is scoring too much off the field to worry about what he scores on it.

Matulino found not guilty - does that change things for Gavet?

This is my first year of NRL fantasy so thought I would share my team (be kind).

    Currently I have:
    McCullough, Cherrington
    J Bromwich, Woods, JTrbo, Cambell-Gillard
Taupau, P. Carter, Surgess, Passi, V Leuluai, J Saifiti
Hastings, DCE, J Nikorima, C Walker
    P Mata'utia, Croker, Green, Henry
    Barba, Ferguson, Wighton, Gutherson, Mitchell

    $135k in bank

Any thoughts on trades I should make?

I want to get rid of Green and thinking either Scott or Hymel Hunt and then not sure what else (if anything I should do...

Perhaps Cambell Gillard for either BLaw or Gavet? Then look to upgrade a couple players over the next few weeks with the cash I have?

    Any thoughts? Cheers.

Well he got 42 minutes against the Broncos with Matulino playing 60 mins so his scores won't go up but his minutes will probably stay where they are.

Merrins last week in my squad if he doesn't reach 50 points. I think that is fair.

Do you think Kapow remains an 80 minute edge forward?

Chopping block is Peats, Henry, Green, LAM, Mansour, Bhana

There is a bit of a disconnect between the positions I want to trade out in and the positions I want to trade out.

Not sure how long Taupau stays in the 2nd row, but I think if he does he's going to be awesome.

Still have to ponder trades to work out who most needs to come in this week.

I grabbed JTurbo last week happy with that decision as Leulai is now injured and looked a poor cashie due to limited minutes....I think the reasoning is sound for trading LAM to a cashie who has the potential to match his scores whilst giving you $100,000 in the kitty and potential to make he same amount....think Mau is a massive risk as he has finished both seasons averaging low 40s. What about  Tolman has a huge BE and if you did the second trade you should have the cash to go Evans - Tolman next week and hen he loses more cash if you are forgetting Graham? dont think I will get both BLaw and Gavet mate, will likely choose one and miss the other because I will use Ah Mau as a stepping stone to a gun next week if Gordon doesn't perform, I will likely use Mitchell over Gordon as a starting WFB regardless this round if Gordon stays

I don't really rate Tolman to be honest mate, Graham is captain and will outscore him. Think I might just bight the bullet and grab Graham now, should have had him from the start instead of Woods but oh well.
My team is bound to get an injury this week because I've dodged everything bar Henry so far so that will in turn create cash. You can't have them all but Blaw/Gavet would be nice to have.

    Will make my team:

    Smith, Garvey
    Graham, Woods, JTrobjevic, JFH
Surgess, Merrin, Cartwright, Carter, Saifiti, Henry
    DCE, Walker, Hastings, Jnik
    Croker, Aubusson, Scott, Littlejohn
    Tedesco, Barba, Mitchell, Gutherson, Feeney

Will deal with JFH, Henry, Littlejohn and Feeney probably next week. Looking out for Michael Chee Kam and Holland. Glad to have 9 keepers already.

Welshy if I could like this post 1000 times I would.

Lots of good players can get big scores in 60 minutes or less.
And a lot of 80 minute players are duds.

Worry about scores first, minutes later

Not a bad week. Up 6936 places to 3332.

    Trades this week.

    Rochow > S.Burgess via Leuluai
    Gordon > Munster

    16k remaining.

Too sideways? Trading for the sake of trading? Thoughts

Edit: I can go Moeroa > S.Burgess via Leuluai then save the Gordon trade til next week and save the trade. Thoughts?

Your trade outs could be Campbell Gillard for Blaw, Cherrington for Ash Taylor moving Jnik, Green for anyone not Green (would go scott), Leuluai for scott by moving Henry up, Henry for scott but not urgent.
Priority would be Green out or he will just bleed cash but scott not going to improve your score for the week. I personally would go CG for Blaw, then Green to Scott. Then look to get Ash taylor for Cherrington next week and do an upgrade to a gun somewhere.

Should I start Mitchell or Barba this week? I played Barba last week even though Mitchell had been in the team until just before lockout...so I'm thinking of doing the reverse this week. Will probably mean a reversal in scores also Rolling Eyes

My other 2 WFBs are Teddy and Munster

Same predicament, and same players. I'm sticking with Barba. Should do well against Manly.

Decided to stick with Evans & Grant for a while longer. Would rather just make the 1 trade to upgrade them to a gun rather than a trade down to Lawrence and then another up to a gun later. Downgrading Gordon though - if I'm not going to play him in my 17 I don't see any point keeping him around losing money on the bench.

Trades this week: Lichaa > Mbye & Gordon > Scott.

    Starting 17 this week:

    Smith (C)
    Woods, JTrbo, Evans, Grant
    Gillett, Taupau, Cartwright, Carter
    Mbye, Moses, Hastings
    Aubbs, Scott
    Tedesco, Barba, Mitchell
